I’m quite excited about things now.
Tell me more good rumours.
with so called ‘dire’ performances
=======
right i was trying to avoid this today but you have had a couple of wee sniders.
" with so called ‘dire’ performances"
we were terrible to watch last season, i don't know how we wont a treble tbh, its was soul destroying.
only the most deluded of fans could kid themselves that we were exciting last year, we were not, in the slightest.

big part of it being that BR looks like losing Maguire meaning Benkovic wont be loaned out to anyone IMO.
======
yeah i dont expect that one to happen.
tbh i quite like Ajer in there and jozo is good cover, just not reliable with injuries.
Another rumour was French left back Romain Perroud
Interesting that nobody is putting Ryan Christie in their team.
Tremendous last season and, frankly, streets ahead of turnbull.
Also if Lennon is going to start getting wingers firing balls into strikers we are in trouble. Certainly Europe could be a disaster. Meat and drink to a decent CB pairing and goalie.
Need to keep Rodgers basic style but mix it up a bit with more movement ahead of the ball and occasionally getting it forward quicker.
i think in europe we will sit deeper now mags, rodgers tactics were suicide at the best of times.

I've noticed something interesting about the split between pessimists and optimists on here.
The pessimists seem to be mainly the ones who actually go to games on a regular basis.
christie was the best thing that happened to us last season, when he came in and brown was injured we played some good stuff.
then it went back to passing it about the back 4 again when brown came back.

i don't like to be that guy, but i wonder how many people who go to games can kid themselves we were good last season.
I'd love a wee trip to Murrayfield again this season, some day out that was!

Yup...I was more pointing something out than making a point if you know what I mean.
i know mate, i don't like to use that as a stick to beat people with either
i missed a fair few games last year because i had kiddo, its harder to go when you are sitting there watching boyata to jozo to tierney to jozo to brown to boyata to lustig to brown to boyata to jozo to tierney...
I get too pashed at games to notice
Stumbling up eh road givin it 'a wins a win'

Yup....it's like how the idea of Pamela Anderson appeals to everybody but fack that for making your dinner and doing your ironing every night. Same principle
Seriously though it was dire at times and the heart could barely take these last minute winners, however given the turmoil with Rodgers and all the stuff going on behind the scenes it was all about getting over the line. It was not pretty but it worked and that at the time was all that mattered to me
Last season was dreadful, absolutely dreadful.
Yet we won another treble
If we hit the ground running this season no one will get near us. Last season was their big chance.
New season, different ideas (lets hope Lennon still uses some of Rodgers philosophy mixed with his own). New players, exciting youth coming through. Decent draw for the quallies. Rangers tough start to the league.
Its making me optimistic
No denying last season’s poor games. A blind man could see that. My point is we should be looking forward to a new season of exciting performances so we should win handsomely. Some folk eh?
Agree heed - the first pre season game will perhaps give us a flavour.
Or not as he tinkers
see if there is no denying, why say "dire performances" as if its nonsense?
Irvine
its mental to think that when i look back on this when i'm older i'm not going to talk about how amazing the treble treble team was.
seasons that stand out for me
o'neils first season - treble
rodgers first season - treble
and lennons first season when we lost the league, still some of the most exciting games i have seen.
