kompany, Silva and Aguero going in the space of maybe 3 years is going to take some replacing
Big question for me, as an Englishman, is will Foden be his replacement?

Lets hope so.
I've been critical of Foden's lack of involvement so far, but perhaps this is his year to take a real step forward.
You think City might show an interest in Eriksen as a possible Silva replacement..Similar players ?
Love David Silva, class player & always came across a top guy
How similar are Bernardo and David Silva in playing style?
I think Bernardo and Foden will 'share' his role.
Absolute legend of a player.
Really is an end of an era. Kompany, Silva and Aguero in particular, I don’t think it’s just their ability that will be difficult to replace but their personalities too. There’s never really been even a hint of them moving elsewhere or causing any issues at all. We’re really going to miss having that level of professionalism and the impact they’ve had on others.

Tend to agree and I wonder how much of it relates to them needing City as much as City need them.
Not now, but as their careers have developed - both parties owe a debt of gratitude to each other in a way.
Unbelievable talent, probably only second to hazard for me in terms of best player in the league the last 5 years. Kante maybe challenges that and maybe aguero?
Will be a huge miss. Luckily for city that have gundogan and especially b silva to take over the mantle.
Undoubted legend of the PL and game in general.
That Euro final when he, Xavi and Fabregas tore Italy to shreds always sticks out for me...plus THAT assist at Old Trafford.

Agreed, it was perfect timing and situation for both.
Wonder what his next move will be esp as he says he could never see himself playing against City.
New York possibly or like VK and Kun back to hos home town club?

He has made no secret that he wants to finish at Las Palmas.
Our final home game is going to be emotional for sure

No chance City will pay what Levy would want for a player we don’t really need
Not sure I can think of another player in recent times who has been so universally appreciated by fans of all clubs.
Usually there are people who argue a player is over-rated or not all that; doesn't seem the case with Silva. Speaks volumes imo.

closest would probably be phil jones.
Best midfielder I have ever seen, and the experts told us that he was too slight to play in the PL. Luckily Bernardo and Foden together with KDB and Gundogan will take the role well. Eriksen would never be needed.
Who said he was too slight? I mean players like Zola, juninho, Owen, makelele all thrived. Be interesting to see who said that.
I remember it being said too, can’t remember who though.
Just over 10 years ago so it would probably be a big hulking British "hard man" pundit at the time. I would suspect Souness, though he isn't the only one, and to be fair to him the way the English game was at the time I can see his reasoning. Good move on Mancini's part though to get both him and Kun, probably on the back of Spain winning the world cup and watching the development of the Spanish game.
