I don't think he's better than VVD and I also think he's overpriced. However if he improves our defence and it gets back in the running above us then I'll be happy.

It isn’t, but making Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in the world is a terrible signing.

If you're right then that would have been my move too. However we have no way of knowing it.

However if Maguire n AWB significantly improve us I'll be happy enough. Expensive and over priced but ultimately results will prove whether it was a good deal.

Why? we are getting him for £10m less upfront than we bid 2 weeks ago.

Put faith in a kid who has only a handful of PL minutes under his belt in Tuanzebe?

Yeah it is 80. 60 upfront and 20 more to come so say numerous reports. We don't really know how the £20m will be paid and when though.

Overpriced for sure but this is United. We don't get good deals from clubs. Everyone knows we have a license to print money from sponsorship deals.

By playing defensively yes we did. Solskjaer doesn't want to play that way with 2 DM's.

Lindelof, Bailly and probably Smalling are better than Maguire.

Maguire will be a catastrophe in our high line.

Zero work rate and teams like Wolves totally playing us off the park in midfield killed us more last season than the defence, teams just walked through us

If you want to play attacking football i.e. the United way......you have to have better defenders.

If you are going to play defensively like LVG n Jose then you can get by with lesser ones as they have more protection.

We played defensively under Mourinho last season an conceded lots of goals. It’s simply a lie to say we hope the cb’s do better with disastrous consequences every year.
