Sam Curran is ENGLISH hes born in England hes probably got an accent because hes spent time in Zimbabwe growing up. since his father Kevin Curran is from there

Stokes and Root are the only ODI batsmen that should retain their test places. Bairstow was twice the player when he wasnt in the ODI side and Buttler is a wicketkeeper shoehorned in cause hes one of the world best white ball players.

I think Stone looks decent. Don't forget Roland-Jones too - he was good when he debuted but I dunno if he's played much since. I don't pay attention much to Div2.

Buttler gets chances because Ed Smith took a gamble on him by recalling him and, to be fair, he's averaged around the 40 mark since then. He's been largely good, just had a poor series. Nowhere near the level or length of poor form of Bairstow. But Buttler should still drop out because Foakes is a better option as both keeper and bat.

Weird how bad Woakes has been. More like his old useless self compared to the good, reliable player he's developed into. Probably needs a good rest. He got Smith though so he's worth his place

Always find the comments whinging about players of foreign origin playing for England hilarious.

I take it as a compliment to our country that young players with heritage from other counties want to play for us and feel welcomed.

You don't see much diversity in the Indian or Aussie teams for example. I think it's great and Morgan referenced it post world cup.
