Jesus Christ how many times.
Liverpool haven’t just built a £600m stadium. They have higher revenue than us to start with. They sold a player for £140m and reinvested the money back in the team.
Does anybody understand strategy? That we were a second tier club with a tiny stadium? That we’ve had to invest massively in our infrastructure to give ourselves a chance of becoming a main player? That that takes time?
In the last 5 years we’ve built the best stadium in Britain off our own backs, and become an established CL club, even reaching the final. To do all that at once is a testament to the way Levy and Poch have run the business and footballing sides of THFC.
Yet some faceless yank who none of you have ever heard of bats his eyelashes and you all want ENIC out? What d’you think this cuuuuunt is gonna do, come in and start spending like Mansour in Harrods? Get real, do some research. He’s a Kroenke, Mike Ashley type, he’d be saddled with the same infrastructure debt ENIC are. We’d be a dot on an investment ledger for facks sake, there to generate a profit for some t0sser abroad who’d never heard of us 6 months ago. Is that what you want for this club?
Honestly I’m embarrassed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
spot on ace ... >applause>
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Erm, why it spot on? What evidence or research has been shown? None.
And don’t we already have an American owner?
The only thing that’s embarrassing is Spurs fans fear of success, seems like that virus runs through the club from the board all the way down to the fans.
I say Levy, bite his f*cking hand off and let’s finally move this club forwards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes but with respect Sizz you are clueless about football and Spurs in general. For a start, no, we don’t already have an American owner for facks sake
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That`s a bit below the belt to call Sizzle clueless about football and Spurs. He is just as much a supporter as the rest of us. You don`t need to have a MENSA IQ to have an opinion on football. He is just giving his opinion mate, and deserves to be heard.
I myself do not want new owners, I am happy with what we have, but I think Spurs do need to start putting trophies in the cabinet, we are not some small club that has suddenly joined the big boys, we have been one of the great clubs of British football for the whole of my lifetime, even if we have not had much recent success.
Seems there are two camps, those of us who want the very best for our club, and those that are content with safe mediocrity.
It is what it is.
I see the two camps
See the very best for the club
&
See the club put in financial danger to win a trophy

Ace, you really don’t have to be Peter Jones to know what’s best for the club mate. I know about business, I have my own property investment, so don’t start patronising mate about being clueless about business just because a few us want the club to show a bit of ambition. We are just a bit fed up of being nearly men all the time and some of us are not content with all these nice cup runs that lead to f** all. A lot of this is down to the club not investing properly on the playing field, pretty simple mate.

I don’t want to put the club in danger while we have a huge debt on our hands with the stadium and I definitely don’t want to be changing owners while I’m at it.
I’m all for the club winning trophies and investing in the playing field properly. Our current owners clearly don’t harbour the same ambition. In Europe you are up against the cream of the crop in better squads and teams with more financial clout.
