I hope they attempt to colonise Mars.I do love astronomy and science in general.
I spent my teenage years in Houston and lived in a little town called Clear Lake and this is where NASA is.
I moved over in 89 only a few years after the challenger disaster so that was still pretty raw for a lot of people.In fact one of the astronauts kids who died on the shuttle was in my year.
Having loads of friends at school who had parents in senior roles at NASA i've done the behind the scenes tours that normal folks don't get to do and been into one of the anti gravity rooms. Only for a few mins but it was pretty cool.
All fascinating stuff, with some quite sad history as well.
Cracks me up people believe we actually went to the moon, as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers said, it was made in a Hollywood basement.

I remember when the three astronauts were killed prior to Apollo 11. I think it was Apollo 1 a couple of years before, training exercise went badly wrong.

It's funny how these routers start.
Been watching them the landing on the moon docus and it’s fascinating but the next chapter is even more from the realms of imagination. A base will be built in the moon, to enable sending rockets from the moon to mars and beyond. They’ve already designed and tested machine capable of taking moon ground, excavate and produce material for building the structures, They’ve also worked out how to get hydrogen and oxygen needed to propel the rockets from the moon. They’re going to split water to get hydrogen and oxygen and use them as fuel.
