Thing with this is that at least he is showing he knows how a negotiation works.....rule out No Deal, have a movable Deadline and the EU will never renegotiate the deal because they dont have to and there is no consequence to them.

Having No Deal as a genuine worst case fall back, and having a firm deadline to agreeing the deal will force both sides to negotiate, and that is what achieves the the best outcome for both sides. If we show weakness, the EU will simply exploit that and we wont get any sort of deal we want.

There has to be a element of bluff in a negotiation if you truly want to end up with something that you are happy with. I can't understand why so many politicians are wetting their pants about a possible No Deal, it only serves to reinforce the EUs negotiating stance because some here appear so desperate to avoid it that they'd agree to anything to make the scary no deal go away. Take it away and the EU have us over a barrel.

1) He’s bluffing. I know it, you know it, and the EU certainly know it.

2) The negotiations are over.

3) The EU & Ireland will NEVER move on the backstop.

why is so much blame being put on the public anyway? most of this mess shouldn't have ever gone to the public vote in the first place or be in a position where its required.

Even if you are blaming the public you have to realise even if you are correct then the public have done us a huge favour anyway by highlighting the sheer facking embarrassment UK politics is right now.

Obviously the only logical thing to do is call the whole thing off and sack the lot of the uselesss and start fresh. Wouldn't stop there either some of them seriously need charges brought to them for gross negligence. None of thats ever gna happen though is it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If it’s called off then the Brexit party will just get in to power and with having Brexit as a part of their manifesto no one would be able stop it.

We’re gonna leave the EU, nothing is gonna stop that happening.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You lot have had three years to sort Brexit, and failed miserably, what makes you think Brexit will ever now happen. You had your chance and blew it.

Hi Sandy

It has been the process for over a century, and I do feel that it needs to be looked at.

However it is slightly hypocritical of Corbyn & Labour moan about it being undemocratic.

Firstly Gordon Brown was foisted on us in a similar fashion when Blair resigned.

Secondly, when I lived in Ruislip and London was run by the GLC, Andrew McIntosh was the Labour candidate to head up the GLC, he was a respected moderate within politics.

However lurking in the shadows was Red Ken Livingstone (who was deemed too extreme to be the face of the Party during an election).

Two days after McIntosh & Colleagues got elected, the “left wing Labour Executive” met and voted McIntosh out and made Livingstone the Leader😳

----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be honest Genius, that wasn`t right either. The whole system needs to change, when the leader of a Governing Party changes hands, then an Election should follow as well.

I’ll be happy if he gets us out of the EU on 31st Oct as promised.

Don’t expect him to keep to his promise tho sadly.

Britain has been bluffing for three years that it has a plan.

Honestly if No Deal is the best they can come up with, the EU will laugh them out of any negotiations. Do you seriously think the EU is going to buckle to Boris, they know he cannot get a No Deal through Parliament, so he can bluster all he likes, he aint got any better chance of getting through Brexit than May did.

Yes as a Spurs supporter I've always dreamt of putting my cross in the box for a party led by an anti-Semitic gooner.

Knock Boris all you like but no Tottenham fan should be voting Labour while that cants at the helm.

Yeah we should all bite for a fat incompetent racist instead.

Any proof of this alleged anti semitism yet? Cause strangely I’ve seen none. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Exactly Sandy.

Imagine threatening to destroy your OWN economy was a credible negotiating tactic.

Embarrassing. We must be the laughing stock of the world right now. Boris got what Boris wanted, this has nothing to do with the countries best intentions.

On the subject of Brexit, he will see us leave whether its in the countries interests or not. Not that there is one single benefit from leaving the EU anyway but hey ho, it is what it is
