It’s a pity we never got peresic, quality everyone I saw him play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How much did Inter want? 45/50m?

Well they’re regretting that now with Lukaku, looks like Juve will be swooping in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Something like that, or 60. He’s looked good, direct, great cross fast and scores goals, really should have paid it.

That’s because you massively overrate any player under the age of 21, Kung Fu.

Had we bought Perisic Lukaku would have scored loads of goals so we wouldn't be wanting to sell him anyway...

He’s disappointed this season and Inter can’t get rid for a good price now. Now we are asking for a silly price for Lukaku. They’ve kind of facked themselves over with this one.

I don't think it's as big of an issue. If we play with a false 9 or the diamond, Rashford can take up the right side. Now that we have AWB we should see something better on that side. That's not forgetting other options there such as James and Mason. Even Perreira can play there and is quite decent with putting a cross in. Dalot has also played there and looked better there than at RB.

DM and then CB are bigger issues for me than RW now.

That’s why we are signing Dybala, China.

Na not really, I just don’t overate Lingard and Mata.

He scored plenty without him, that’s not Lukakus problem though. He breaks down our own attacks, misses sitters and hardly scores against the big teams with the chances he is given.

Can see Rashford playing there, martial striker, James left

I’d play Dalot on the right ahead of Mata and Lingard, They both have minimal impact. At least Dalot can beat a man and put a cross in.

Greenwood/James for the right otherwise, either let Greenwood iron out his mistakes with consistent football or use James for his work rate and speed. In fact I’d even play Gomes on the right ahead of Lingard and Mata.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our of interest, when was the last time you saw Gomes play on the right?

Never!

That’s how much I hate watching Lingard and Mata play on the right. As much as you hate watching Pogba in a two or Martial up front.

At least Gomes has pace and the skill to match. Lingard has pace and is okish skill wise, Mata has the skill but is slower than Maguire running through quick sand.

I do not see the right side as that much of an issue with the current set up.

One of the issues we had was Valencia's appalling final ball. AWB is happy to overlap (final ball needs work) but Ashley Young can actually play there and do a great job.

True Mudd, although I’d like to see if Dybala can play there if this Lukaku swap goes through. Apparently he’s better behind the striker but can also play along the front 3.

Is it Dybala that has the crazy girlfriend?

Na it’s Icardi which is why I think Ole isn’t interested in a swap deal with Inter who want him offloaded.

No he can't MUDd. Young is a truly awful player in any position.

He was decent for a few seasons at Villa, MUDd. He was never good enough for us.

Back to the OP. I can't see why Juve would be interested in him at all.

Certainly not if they have seen him play for us for the last 18 months.

He’s been brilliant at left back this preseason.
