I will feel absolutely fine about it.
Our defence has improve hugely over the summer, which was our biggest weakness.
McTominay will establish himself in our midfield this season, and if Pogba plays a full season to his potential we've got a phenomenal player there.
The front four is full of pace and talent, so if we have Mata/Lingard/Gomes sitting behind a combo of Martial/Greenwood/James/Rashford we're going to be very dangerous on the counter attack, and have the energy to press high up the field.
There's every chance Fred might find himself rejuvinated after his first season troubles, and Pereira knows this season is probably his chance to establish himself.
I'm excited to see if Gomes and Greenwood can force themselves into the side, like Beckham, Butt and Scholes did the season we lost Kanchelskis, Hughes and Ince - there was a similar meltdown amongst the fans that summer too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting point, see you what you mean about the youth and strengthing , emotionally though I just think of the parasites creaming us off. I know capitalism is about exploiting , making money , but is there a tipping point where as a consumer you think this is blatantly too much, I am having the absolute p taken out of me
Not that bothered. Would like a midfielder but we’ve strengthens the defence and have some great youngsters, cest la vie.

This morning’s reports suggest interest in Mandzukic and Inaki Williams of Bilbao.
Either would be cool, just because it shows we’re still trying to improve the squad (even at the last minute).

Signings for the sake of signings. Hopefully neither happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been planning to sell Lukaku all summer, so what makes you think these players haven't been planned too?
If we'd have bought Lukaku's replacement before the deal with Inter, the power slips out of our hands.
Garner and Gomes have enjoyed international success at youth level. If they were foreign talents then our fans would be asking Ed to have a look at them I reckon.
Let's hype the kids we have at the club, instead of chasing the kids who are doing the same bits abroad.
A lot of people on here have said for a while now that Gomes - for example - is better than what we have in the first team. Let's put that to the test.
Garner and McTominay are capable of being better than Matic and Fred. Give them a shot. I think Ole will, and I think it'll bear fruit.
The fans need a team to be proud in, and pride doesn't just come from success (look at Liverpool and Spurs fans over the last few year - albeit Liverpool had success last season). If we challenge for top 4 this season, with 3 English defenders, and three or four English kids out of the academy (Gomes, Greenwood, Rashford & Garner) as well as McTominay and Pereira pushing for starts, I think that's a team worthy of our support.
Honestly, I trust Solskjaer over three or four windows to do what's right for the club in terms of signings, if Ed and the fans will show some patience.

Maybe, just maybe, the press don't know every aspect of the club's dealing... hence the 10,000 players we've been linked to.
Were we hugely linked with James before that deal?

I guess we will see. We were linked to James for a good few weeks/months before the deal was announced.
Either way I'm not fussed, because I like the squad we have right now.
I don't see the kids being used as much as we hope tbh
Sanchez is still here, matas new contract... Fred...
The clubs investment in them is liable to see them on the bench and making sub appearances in front of Gomes, Garner etc
I still can't get much enthusiasm for Maguire... Yes he improves us in the air, decent on the ball...
But if we set up in a 4231 with Matic ahead and push full backs forward like against Milan, we'll either be raped on the counter attack or be forced to have to sit deep and soak up pressure... Which kinda leaves us where we were... Big gaps between front and back
A better midfield and playing a 3 would protect him (or his lack of pace) better.

Depends on how you mean patience
If we’re down in 8th place and losing fairly regularly and playing badly then the fans have the right to be impatient
All depends on how we are. If we’re as bad as we were after Ole got the job permanently then people will have the right to question a manager who is in reality potentially out of his league
What do you mean a “right”? Anyone has a right to be impatient whenever they want.
It’s whether it is logical, sensible or fair to express an impatience with a situation.
We have some people on here already doing so when it’s completely unjustified.

Agree completely.
But our fans showing patience?
Half of them on here are already launching their Barbies from their perambulators with gusto.

Do you think there's a danger of Spurs doing a Spurs, like they did with the Bale money?

Garner and Gomes have enjoyed international success at youth level. If they were foreign talents then our fans would be asking Ed to have a look at them I reckon.
Let's hype the kids we have at the club, instead of chasing the kids who are doing the same bits abroad.

This is all well and good but at the end of the day it comes down to whether Ole's willing to give these players a proper chance instead of opting for the easy solution and playing the more established players.
We'll soon see.

Hopefully you do not include Robbie on there as he is still smarting about Moyes and Jose.

Yeah. Pep was out of his league when he took over Barcelona
The rest as they say is history
