Why is there such a strong corelation between the right, anit-vax and climate change denial?
Parents who do not vaccinate their kids, especially against the measels are complete idiots, read Roald Dahl on his daughter and the measels.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have an argument with a genuine flat earther. Kept banging on about where's the evidence.
"Night and day mate"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What was their actual argument? They think all pictures of the earth are faked?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a difficult question to answer as there is no argument.
In terms of this particular case he was more about me disproving it.
I also went with star constilations being different around the world.
There is an amazing documentary on flat earthers where a guy spent $20k on a gyroscope only to disprove his own theory.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am DEFINITELY watching that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not as fun as it sounds, he convinces himself that the results are wrong rather than his theory.

It's convenient when you're allowed dismiss every photo from space as cgi. And claim the iss is a studio on a zero g plane..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So my mate was going through space being bollox in general and of course I laughed in his face.
He then asked me what I thought NASA's budget was and I of course googled.
$20.7 billion a year.
He then asked me what do we actually get for that?
It did make me think tbh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
20.7 billion is feck all, it has led us to discover that our universe is only a fragment of what is out there and that there are millions if not billions of earth like planets in the 'Goldilocks Zone' of their parent star, not too hot not too cold just right temperature to potentially support life.
Super massive black holes, comets made of gold, the list is endless.
The saddest thing about facing up to the fact ill be dead in max 50 years is I won't be around to see what is at the centre of a black hole.
There's a video where one dude proved with an actual experiment that light can cause us to see curvature on a flat surface.

Can't believe I haven't thought of ripping these morons off tbh.
It's the conspiricy side of it I find fascination over the science, I don't claim to understand the physics of it all but trust what a physicist says on it.
Like if they're right, it means every space agency on the globe (see what I did there) is in on it and producing CGI imagery by the minute to keep the con going, also they think the UN (whose flag is a flat earth model and therefore a clue) guard the "ice wall" of Antartica and patrol by boat to stop people travelling there.
They claim you can't visit there (you can), that flights in the southeren hempisphere prove the earth is flat cause you can't fly direct from South America to Austrailia (you can) and that because commercial flights don not fly over Antartica then it's not a real place (negating the fact that 1. it's extremley dangerous due to dangerous winds / rain / snow, and that there is no refuelling or emergency landing space there so it is against aviation law to fly a path like that as you always need to be within a certain distince to somewhere you can land.
And all of this conspiricy (what like at least 1000's of people) are all in it so Nasa can pocket a massive 20 billion a year
