Spurs don't need VAR

Spurs played 38 away games last season

It will be a different story when they return to The Lane

Var is nonsense. Should have drawn today and lost last week but end of the day that's the same amount of point weve deserved so cant complain.

The officials with the much needed technology are reluctant to overturn decisions given by their mates.

VAR is fine. It's the referee's club that needs fixing.

How is it karma you div? It was a stonewall pen that wasn’t given. Both of City’s goals ruled out against us by VAR were ruled out correctly as per the offside and handball rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
we were denied a penalty for Rodri being wrestled to the ground by Lamella at least as good as that one today - you div

Agreed.

The two penalty incidents today I simply don’t understand why VAR judged them both “no penalty”.

I should say, agree with your sentiment regarding the referees, but VAR for me isn’t fine.

var check to see if the refs made a clear and obvious error and theyve set the bar really high that error has to be massive it seems, a lot of decisions divide opinion so VAR refs probably dont wna be overruling the ref everytime their view differs. I assume theyre in constant convo with the ref too talking them over what they see think etc.

But fans need to stop expecting VAR to re ref the entire game.

A clear pen.
Yet another wrong call from VAR.

Inbefore,

By its very implementation, VAR is all about undermining the referee.

It wouldn’t have been brought in if they were happy with the on-pitch referee’s ability to referee the game.

its there as a tool for them to get more decisions right of which they get like what was it 98 %? or something right anyway according to them, its not there to re ref the game. And it will aid them in getting more decisions right over the course of the season even with our incompetent bunch of refs.

People were crying VAR will take away the controversy and debate from the game now look at them all seems like whatever happens cant win with most football fans can they?

You don't get penalties for Kane dives, when VAR is there to catch it. With Kane's reputation the referee let it go to see if VAR would give it.

98% is good enough.

VAR was only ever needed in regards to whether the ball crossed the line or not.

It’s implementation this season alongside the rule change regarding handball was always going to mean teething problems.

Teething problems is fine in one respect but completely avoidable in practice.

That is what has caused the problems. Rather like the rule about pulling in the area. Good in theory but useless in practice. (It was essentially changed (backtracked) after the first weekend of the season in which it was brought in.)

That changed today. VAR did review two penalty decisions (both not given) after the ball had gone out of play a few moments after the incident took place.

That is what should have happened in regards to the Rodri incident last week (but it wasn’t even reviewed).

So It’s use / implementation has changed within one week.

You Ace, are missing the point.
