Possibly but football isn’t played on paper. Uniteds midfield is very dysfunctional whereas ours is very good for the system we play.

Fair play Brightside still posting ! Not sure what your objective is beyond wumming. As I said earlier you have one player who would get in our team and another ( Pogba) who should be he’s simply too inconsistent to be trusted . Surely most people would accept that

Sweeper keeper and a high press from your forwards
Plus VVD pinging the ball about
==============

I would pay money to see you give a tactics talk on high pressing I reckon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We went to the nou camp and had 53% possession from Allison and VvD pinging the ball 60 yards.

Henderson is better individually than Pogba? Seriously wtf is going on.

I see a lot on Twitter from liverpool fans calling VVD the best prem defender in history.

Do we have any Liverpool fans who believe that as well?

Sorry Toor, Henderson isn't better than Pogba. And everyone knows it. Better for your team maybe, but not better per se.

I will not say VVD is the best ever maybe if we win the league and he has won trophies in the next few years.

Pogba would not get in a Klopp team. He needs to run and press for 90 minutes.

"I’ve never seen anything like what I saw at Anfield," admitted Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos, this week.

The Gunners star was hooked after an hour on August 24 after being dizzied and dazed by a Liverpool midfield who swarmed their visitors from the first minute.

A player steeped in the tiki-taka traditions of his Spanish homeland, the ball-playing Ceballos, who is on loan from Real Madrid, was left breathless by the suffocating red blurs he encountered in last month's game.

"I haven’t seen a team that plays better, that presses like them, the way the fans carry them along," he conceded.

"They take the air from you. You spend so much time defending and when you want to do something with the ball, when you want to breathe, they’re back on top of you. They’re very well-drilled."

“I’m just really, really happy to be part of this great club. I’ve hardly noticed any difference in size between Real Madrid and Arsenal.”

None of your players did this effectively in the league until last season, Klopp trained them to play that way. I’m guessing he could do the same with another talented player dedicated to his sport.

I think if vvd maintains this level for the next 4 years he'll deserve to be considered amongst the best ever to play in the prem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree with this, consistency in quality and longevity create legends.

He has to say that about Arsenal, he joined them. He doesnt have to say it about Liverpool. It's what everybody who watches us would say anyhow. Unless you have no clue about football.

posted on 16/9/19

No he didn’t have to say that, unless you have no clue about.... humans?

He could have just said Arsenal is a great club and nobody would have given a schit. He didn’t just go the extra mile in what he said, he circumvented the globe.

This is a fair comment. He's the best around and last season he was incredible. When we're thinking about best ever though.. I mean, no-one is calling Vardy the league's best ever striker, and he beat van Nistlerooy's record.

Yeah they did. In fact Salah didnt do as well last season. We tightened the defence though. Midfield was not given as much freedom really but the year before we still reached the CL final and finished 4th with 'average' and 'poor' midfielders.

I dont mean it in a bad way but after chatting to you on other threads (such as Alisson would be a 'complete liability' in other systems despite being a success for all three of his clubs and country) that you find it hard to give credit where's it's due to Liverpool players.

Managers get far too much credit when things go well and far too much grief when things go badly. Football is ultimately about players and they deserve just as much credit. There is a reason he sold the entire team (and most of the squad) but kept Henderson and Firmino.

I get bias but it just gets silly on here sometimes.

Henderson, Milner and Gini have always done this.

Pogba would no do this. I remember the game of Man United against City at OT and he was outplayed by the two Silvas. He was like a sunday league player playing against professionals.

He don't track runners off the ball and is very limited when he is put under pressure.
