Not enough natural width for my favoured 4-1-4-1

Think its nearer 4-2-3-1.

But thats semantics. I like the positive approach

Who’s going to play the right wing role, seen a couple of line ups with Praet there. Could equally be 4-3-3 with Barnes and Maddison as the wide and kind of wide players. Guess it was hard to drop Praet after last week but looks a little unbalanced. Unless he’s going to spring a real surprise and play with Vardy and Barnes as split strikers on their full backs 😱

Definitely more positive starting 11 than against other ‘top 6’ teams! Like it

I don’t think we’ve ever played a 4-1-4-1 and I’m convinced it’s a formation Mersey made up for us last season

A 4-1-4-1 would indicate having a flat 4 midfield (with left and right wingers) and a defensive midfielder. I can’t remember us playing anything like that since the days of Shakespeare

It’s a 4-2-3-1 and always has been. We don’t play with wide midfielders or classic wingers

4 1 311sort of diamond with maddison at top?

The difference has been whether the 2 in midfield are defensive midfielders or not, but it’s always been a variation of 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

So is it Praet with ndidi

Vardy running in behind will be a big threat to Liverpool, lovren starting so Vardy should play off him as often as possible.

These call it a 4-5-1
But I prefer 4-1-4-1

It’s a not a flat 4 across midfield. It’s no way a 4-1-4-1, we don’t play that

There’s some serious number crunching going on here. So that’s 4 at the back, with Ndidi sitting ahead of them, with Praet & Tielemans ahead of Ndidi with Barnes and Maddison just in front of them on the left and right respectively? Is that right?

Nice to watch a game without the feelings
Of dread or fear
Says a lot about how far we gave come

Or is it the drugs chilling me out 🤔
