I don’t think we’ve ever played a 4-1-4-1 and I’m convinced it’s a formation Mersey made up for us last season
A 4-1-4-1 would indicate having a flat 4 midfield (with left and right wingers) and a defensive midfielder. I can’t remember us playing anything like that since the days of Shakespeare
It’s a 4-2-3-1 and always has been. We don’t play with wide midfielders or classic wingers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
These call it a 4-5-1
But I prefer 4-1-4-1
https://images.app.goo.gl/p7u8qakKCwgEVkF9A
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s a 4-3-3 all day
It’s a not a flat 4 across midfield. It’s no way a 4-1-4-1, we don’t play that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes that formation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope it’s definitely a 4-1-2-2-1
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s some serious number crunching going on here. So that’s 4 at the back, with Ndidi sitting ahead of them, with Praet & Tielemans ahead of Ndidi with Barnes and Maddison just in front of them on the left and right respectively? Is that right?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes spot on but technically out full backs push on so it’s more of a 2-2-1-2-2-1 which has a certain ring to it
Liverpool look so dangerous when they get the space
Need to get to grips in midfield as when clearing the defence there trying to find vardy and Liverpool straight back at us

He been off since he came back from injury
Subconscious of losing his England place or transfer £??!
He just does not look safe.
If we get in at half time 0-0 it will be a miracle
21 minutes
Liverpool haven't had a serious shot at goal
But we haven't got to grips in midfield
Nice move
Praet get a corner
Chill well could not beat an egg
Cleared and praet fights backs get cross into the box
Corner again good tackle from manie
Sounds like Evans and Soysauce are earning their corn!
Would it be to big a game for Justin?
Pity fuchs isn't on the bench
Still not practicing corners then 🤷♀️
We look like Newcastle last week.
Nice header clear by kasper on 20yrsd
Dangerous ball across the box by arnald
Too far by inches to Liverpool
Excellent run by nidi
Wow
Red car Var is that so they don't have to give a yellow
Nice free kick Söyüncü header on target
Good save but off side
Knew we couldnt make it! Heyho! Just dont get thrashed now
Bug. ger
Counter attack
Loverly ball by milner
Evens just missed with a stretched leg
Mane 1 on 1 with kasper 1-0
When did Vardy last touch the ball? I think he flicked it on with his head maybe 20 mins ago. No Vardy no goals!
