rosso, it’s so dumb to have a set up that relies heavily on the cm’s to pass through the lines. Even more so when those cm’s are Fred and McTominay.

It’s not just that, because McT, Tuanzebe and Maguire are actually capable of it.
The bigger problem is the fact that the passes are having to travel too far, and the receiving players (if the passes aren’t cut out) are all between poor and terrible with their backs to goal.
If they drop into the half spaces, there’s a better chance of them receiving the ball, and without a defender in their arssehole, and being able to turn.

I wouldn’t put it all on him, but the insistence on the same tactics each and every week when it clearly isn’t working is absolutely baffling.

That's it though, the tactics are not working. Change them. I find it difficult to understand how we do not have overlapping runs on this team against a team sitting back so deeply. I watch every other league team and it's like they know what they are doing. We don't look like e do.

It’s true though. He was a player that Jose loved and put into the side. His performance in 2018 when we beat Chelsea 2-1 was excellent and instantly I knew he’d be our new Fletcher

With Tuanzebe playing we’ve at the very least a bit more distributing of free Bakker flaming into midfield. Something we saw a little of in preseason to good effect.
