Sadly that’s one World Cup where Brazil never qualify!
On the first half: Maguire should have had us one up and we’d probably, maybe just about deserve it, though it’s been poor again. Rashford is invisible. Fred is at least finding United players, albeit ones a metre to his left. Dalot, McTominay and Maguire have done OK and Tuanzebe looks like he’s been playing for years - reading everything and calm on the ball.
No penetration though. Fred and McTominay are getting a lot of the ball but the front four just aren’t involved enough.
I used to always wonder why Fred never gets a game and Matic keeps starting all the time...

It's all very 'meh' at the moment. The dullness of the football is really turning me off.
I do want Ole to succeed but his legacy will probably be behind the scenes than on the pitch going by what we're seeing at the moment.
I'd take Fred off for Greenwood now and get some support up there for Rashford. Pereira can move inside to partner McT with Mata and James wide.

We need *at least* two of the forwards to be looking for the central half-spaces to receive the ball on the turn and either drive or deliver to the third runner.

He is really, really calm.. The only shining light of a poor first half (for us(
rosso, it’s so dumb to have a set up that relies heavily on the cm’s to pass through the lines. Even more so when those cm’s are Fred and McTominay.
