The only hope with the Glazers is that now so much of the attention is coming on - and Woodward in particular - they may look to shift the focus away and replace Woodward.
I know it's wishful thinking, but it's far more realistic a dream than them selling the club.
Woodward is definitely our Ying and Yang problem.
He will be the hardest one to shift. More so than the Glazers.
Any potential incoming owner will almost certainly want him on board. And Woodward holds many cards.
Just wish he'd hold out the one that says 'I'm an incompetent tw@t'.
It’d be something, and would make more of a difference than repeatedly changing managers, for sure.
Knowing them - and our luck - they’d probably just replace Ed with Richard Arnold and tell him to “carry on” though
Can not see the Glazers replacing Woodward anytime soon.
There might be a slight change in board structure IF things continue to go downhill, but the problem still lies within.

There surely has to come a time when the owners are looking at Woodward's running of things. From what I've read they've replaced their general managers for the Buc's once it's been long over due.

Richard Arnold can't even convince his nephew to play for United!
They’ve made the greatest football club in the country unrecognisable.

I'd class this as long overdue!
I'm not one to moan about United (we had it so good for years) but it's turning into a real chore to watch at present.
It's got to the point now where I don't care that much about results any more (provided we don't get relegated!) but I just don't enjoy watching us play. Can't remember the Alkmaar or Newcastle keeper having to make a save this last week.
Diafol, you're preaching to the original moaner about our style of play. I was complaining about it back in 2009 when Phelan replaced Queiroz.

I’m seriously considering knocking the senior games on the head for a while.
The U18s and U23s are far more enjoyable to watch, and persuading the missus that I should be watching up to nine hours of United each week is already proving pretty difficult

I went to watch my village team last weekend against my home town team. No word of a lie it was much more entertaining than any United game this season. Finished 4-2 with plenty of chances created and the keepers making good saves. Think I'll be doing it more often from now on!
Gary Neville made a lot of sense on Sky there just now even if Souness is an idiot and wasn't getting it.
Utd's net spend was about £60m this summer but he estimated a wage bill saving of £25m this year too based on the sale and loans.
That means a squad that finished 6th, was already shlt had an investment of £35m this summer. That is facking shameful for a club of this size in its present condition.
Doesn't matter whether the manager was Busby, Fergie, Guardiola, Jose or Ole. The Glazers are bleeding this club and no manager will be successful in that type of climate.
Oh of course. It was more a case of putting into perspective how long it's been since I've liked our style of football. Even when we had Ronaldo and were something like two games away from a quadruple or something I wasn't that excited by a lot of the games.
That may sound spoiled, but it's not really when you consider why I watch football because results aren't nearly as important to me.
I actually despise watching us play now. And it makes it even more depressing when you watch Chelsea, Liverpool and City playing how they do.
Chelsea especially, they went from having one of the worst styles of football in England for 15 years to one of the best. It's criminal what has happened to Manchester United in comparison.
There needs to be a new concerted campaign to get these glazer cants to do one

Yes, we really need to stop the focus on the manager and the players.
Don't care if you're Ole in or Ole out or if you want to gut Ashley Young's insides. Securing change at the top level is key.
The poor squad will only be sorted out with the right owners/men in charge. A manager will only be successful when the club is being run in the right way.
We're the 6th most valuable sporting franchise in the world yet have one of the worst medical departments in sport, a scouting department worse than some championship clubs and no wage structure. We shifted Sanchez then got bent over worse for an under performing keeper. Our u23s got relegated last year.
As much as I loathe some of the players at the club and some of Ole's mistakes the'y're not the prime concern. Sacking Ole would be like taking strepsils for a cardiac arrest.
Now is the time the fanbase needs to show they actually have a clue about football and they care about the club.
06-07 is the benchmark United team for style of play, for me.
Obviously you need good footballers to play the kind of football expected at United, something we currently lack, but you also need to be brave enough to play in such a way we just aren't doing it.
Like I've just mentioned on Rob's article, we probably need an idealist coach that is committed to this way of playing, even if he doesn't have the players, because Moyes, LVG, Mourinho and Ole certainly haven't been.
