Yes

He's the only one who looks like playing a through ball so no he isn't.

Goes missing far too much despite his talent

No. He is very talented player that just doesn't perform for us as well as he should, as often as he should.

Any player who needs other players in order to play well is a luxury.

The concept of needing to buy players to unlock Pogba always sounded like a nonsense to me.

Through-balls are a luxury. Keep it going sideways and backwards.

I'm not sure he's a luxury player, but he's certainly a player that has to be used a specific way with the right players around him. Just look at the WC, he was great because he had the right players around him which enabled him to flourish, he also seemed to thrive off it and showed some leadership. Without him I think France would be weaker.

The problem at United is that firstly we're a mess, secondly we don't play him in his best role and thirdly we don't have the right set up around him. Yes you can argue whether he's worth the hassle as there are clearly better players around but he can make a difference to your team as long as you get it all right around him.

He sure is. Never controls games, doesn’t work for the team, only really has one position really. Superbly talented but mentally all over the shop.

Football is a team game, where 11 players play and need each other to play.

Do you think this is FIFA game, where one player as a controller?

Such a naive statement.

Maybe Pogba has average players around him who perform well below par and makes his job harder.

Remember how average Salah was at Chelsea?

If his team mates at Liverpool start to play below par, he'll be below par too and will go missing.

It's already started. You just need to look.

Agreed.

Messi needs teammates to be more disciplined to allow him a free role. Ronaldo needed others to sacrifice themselves do he could score aa many as he did. Liverpool's midfield is a workmanlike one in order to accommodate their front 3. Look at the great CB pairings. Was Rio or Vidic as good without the other alongside?

I'd look pretty good in midfield with Kante, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Matuidi etc. Next to me. Or Mbappe inform and Chiellini, Barzagli & Button behind.

Seriously a lot of players can shoot and play a nice pass given time.and space. I can defend like a monster if my defending/pressing is a bonus and not a key component of.my teams strategy.

It's performing well consistently when the pressures on you and you're actually relied upon that youre a leader or key player.

There will be good passes on and Pogba will do a failed roulette and lost the ball. Even if he pulls it off there's no point. I'm sure Mourinho was saying something similar.

Like bro just play your position well then add the extras. Don't just go out and try do things for highlight reels and make yourself look good. It's elite football....theres a game plan and a.fine margin for error.

You wouldn't though, you'ed look terrible and shame your self in front of millions.

Players like Bebe and Dong were shown up as frauds when they played alongside pure class and so would you mate.

Despite all the bollox, Pogba has been playing in a terrible team but has still managed the best numbers for a midfielder in the top leagues.

His form isn't always great but even in his worst matches he always seems to create a chance. We got absolutely drilled by Barca last season for example but he still managed to create two goal scoring opportunities.

People who create chances for fun are never a luxury, our midfield is pure poverty and people are talking about Pogba.

Yeah he's a good pro but nowhere near top 10 midfielders in the league.

It's penalties and a few goals and assists playing in a self serving way. Ozil has solid numbers.......But he is a luxury player who will cost you at the highest level. Football's changed....you can't have passengers in midfield.

A luxury player or me is someone you dont need. An indulgence.

Pogba is definetly not that. He is the exact type of midfielder we need. Unfortunately he just doesnt do it often enough.

I’ve given up on Pogba ever being right for United. Too lazy, too moody, too inconsistent.

I wouldn’t describe him as a luxury - I don’t think he’s that good.

Bryan Robson & Steven Gerrard are laughing are these poor players around him excuses

All flash and no intelligence. He plays on instinct but he's not ronaldinho. He just isn't good enough to be a genius/ maverick superstar

your right football is a team game and pogba is part of the team. if he needs better players around him to perform to his best then he is the problem. he's just not that good and way too expensive.

he's actually not that good. But still believes he is world class.

Major mental problem.

He’s such a strange footballer, Pogba. When you watch our games he doesn’t seem to do a great deal, gives the ball away, sometimes looks disinterested.

But last season he topped every attacking stat for the team, according to Opta, even if you take away his 6-7 penalties which helped make him our top scorer, he still registered the most:

Assists, shots on target, successful dribbles, chances created, passes into the final 3rd, and won the most fouls.

Some stats in football can be meaningless on their own, but when you put lots together over the course of a season they can tell you a story, ours is, Pogba is our most productive attacking player and without him, we’re going to struggle.

He's an excellent player, not a luxury player at all and Ozil wasn't (when he was good).

They're both players who are attacking, expecting them to chase back or sit back is similar to expecting most strikers to do so.

*Ozil is clearly broken now btw, shadow of his former self and unfit

Pogba would thrive in a well set up team which United clearly are not. Almost all players would struggle there atm.
