Sunday was a reality check.
Tonight is not a must win game.
The Promotion race is a marathon; teams that win it tend to be going just as well after Easter, if not better, than they are before Christmas.

As long as we stay in the top eight until the window opens we will have the best chance since we last lost in the playoffs. In January we need to sign another striker and bring Tyler Walker back.

As for tonight I expect to see SL put right
the 'mistakes' he made on Sunday: Chema CB, Ribeiro LB, Silva midfield, and Grabban in a 4-1-4-1.

Hola from sunny Ibiza. 😎

Bit of a week away chasing some late sun with the family. Only San Miguel in the all inclusive bar as far as I can see. I’ll have to hunt out some Estrella from somewhere.

Red450 is absolutely right. It’s all about lasting the distance rather than going off like a Roman candle. If they can project their starting twelve games’ results over the next thirty four, they’re up there. WBA won’t be too concerned with only a point out of Barnsley. Keeps their momentum going and they’ll be confident they can go anywhere in this league to pick up a win.

Forest will be keen to show Wigan was a flash in the pan. I think the build up to the game was a perfect breeding ground for complacency with the MOTM award and large away following. Hopefully those minds have now been refocused.

Hull have been very inconsistent so far. Looked defensively vulnerable in their last game. Eric Lichaj had a bit of a mare giving away fouls left right and centre. Forest should be looking to put together a similar score line to last season.

I’ll go Forest 2-0 Hull. I fancy Lolley and Grabban to score.

I think we will win this one by two goals.

This is the poorest Championship in at east the last 10 seasons, not a ‘stand out’ team, no consistency and draws galore. I take nothing for granted, no matter who we play, but with a decent run of fixtures, the next 3 at least we can put ourselves in with a fighting chance. WBA are currently top, and have trailed in the majority of their games, fair enough they have done well fighting back, but you can’t keep that up for too long. Anyone within 10 points of the top come January, with a few good signings could easily gain automatic or at worst play off spot. Let’s just keep in there, win games like tonight’s and stay in touch.

Yes, nobody looks particularly out of the ordinary so far. Last season, the top six were established early on and they swapped the top spots between themselves. Villa broke through later on, though.

There do seem to have been an inordinate amount of drawn games this season so far, though.

Looks sunnier at the CG on their Instagram pic then it is here. They had a cyclone here last night. No wonder everyone looked so miserable as we arrived.

I was just going to ask you about that Will. Spanish TV reported this morning that a tornado had hit Ibiza...

I thought the same reddave, a lot of inconsistency this year, but comparing against last seasons table at this point in time it’s near enough identical points tallies with different teams. If anything, this year seems more competitive. It’s like hind sight makes it worse.

Fans do seem to look for early leaders running off with it as a standard for league quality, but I can’t remember the last time that happened. Many teams that end up going up, when I’ve seen they are pretty mediocre... any we usually beat them. Very hard to judge.

Chema in for Fig 👍
Silva in for bostock who’s been dropped from the side completely 👍
Yates in the side 👍
Grabban in for Mir 👍

If anyone is interested, all this pi$$ING about is because the power supply unit is knackered on my PC and I'm waiting for the new one to arrive.
