and how many times in a season do you think Bolton can put out your ' dream 11' anyway? In the Prem, all teams have to have a strong squad (unless they want to struggle), as it's rare any manager can put out exactly the same team, week in, week out ...

What you are saying is true but how many teams are without three of their better players for six months at once?
We are a small club and can't afford 25 Cahills/ Lees/ Holdens in our squad.
Holden's: I like your team above....I would bite the bullet and put Bogdan in though.
I like Bibi but I can't see him getting that left back spot on a regular basis...with Robbo & Alonso lurking.
I was just using that team as an example, Coyle will know his strongest team when he has all available players.. But when they're not he's having to think. 'which back up player is good enough'
How do we know that a midfield of Lee Reo Coker Holden Petrov would stand toe to toe with United? It's a much stronger midfield and that midfield may do better than a 5 man midfield?
Did you see United on Saturday FOTGTD?
They were only missing Rooney and then Hernandez went off injured, yet the differences in performance from United v Arsenal or v Bolton was honestly incredible. United were just missing one man, and they couldn't string passes or find space.
If missing one player stops your whole team functioning, then I wonder what missing acouple does.
Even without Rooney, you would expect them to beat Stoke, but they were poor, seriously poor.
HH ....Of course Utd can have an off day ...difference is, when they DO, they still tend to get something from the game ...and don't forget ...Stoke are a far tougher proposition than we are at this moment in time - far better organised and more motivated ...most of which is down to Pulis I suspect. Equally, OC's got to take responsibility for Bolton's failings in these 2 departments, regardless of what players he puts out.
Folk keep harping on about how we knew we'd lose most games in the first 6, and how we're only 2 pts worse off than this point last season. What they're failing to understand is that the results aren't the main worry .... it's the MANNER in which we've lost, and how it has shot to pieces the teams confidence .... hence the Norwich result maybe? OC has to be able to motivate/organise whatever 11 he puts out ..and he's failing at that IMO. Despite the frustration, don't get me wrong ..I'm hoping he can turn this round ...Big test this season ...I just don't know if he can cut it, based on performances so far .....

Out of the games so far this season, I would only call the United, Liverpool and the first half at Norwich as bad performances.
Even now, how many teams would expect to win with 10 men on the field at the Emirates? I also believe we battled well in the second half against Norwich.
IMO, we played well against City and in parts we matched them, no mean feat when you look at the cost against their squad !!!
