If you want it to be more balanced then maybe you drop Kane but otherwise players like Bale shouldn't really get in over him. Kane's been top class for 5 straight seasons...looking like 6.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
At his best, Bale was better than Kane.

So it depends whether your side is based on peak or longevity.

Also, Kane is competing against Aguero, Rooney, RVP.

You can't always go on who wins the league the most. It has to go on performance. Suarez and Salah had 2 of the best individual league performances the PL has ever seen but neither won anything.

Bale didn't have sustained greatness in the PL in the way Kane has had, and didn't spend enough time in it this decade.

Didn't know Kane had won POTY like Bale did, then earn a world record fee to Madrid.

At his best in the PL I'd take Bale over Kane, longevity is a different conversation all together.

As I said, my team is based on peak performance.

Picking a premier league best 11 from 2000-2009 would be a lot harder. So many great players in every position.

I doubt Aguero gets in if we're talking peak performance, and that would be a travesty.

I'd go with

De Gea

Walker Kompany Terry Azpilicueta

Yaya Toure David Silva

Hazard

Suarez Kane(pen) Aguero

only goal keeper to even consider is CECH.

his stats are astounding.

No disrespect to VDS who is the other outstanding candidate but he's nowhere near cech even so.

I think it’s impossible to do these things without some sort of subconscious bias towards the team you support. I’d go:

Schmeichel
Fuchs, Huth, Morgan, Simpson
Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Albrighton
Okazaki
Vardy

Er .... .... oh!

Peter Cech at his best was equal to a +1 goal differential. I agree, as much as I loved Edwin. After his head injury, he went back to being human.

If it's done on longevity then RVP shouldn't even be in the discussion. He had two outstanding seasons, no more.
