Super sunday seem to have ditched the woman pundit which has been positive.

Don't mind them as pundits if they know their stuff, no problem with that.

Hate the commentator the BBC (I think) use though sometimes on MOTD, she has such an annoying voice and it just doesn't sound right for the job.

Not purely because she's a woman, but they wouldn't give the job to joe pasquale for the same reason.

Melissa Reddy is a brilliant football writer and pundit when she's on TV.

Let's face it there is a heap of useless male pundits on TV daily, don't say anything interesting, all tired cliches.

No offence to women, but id rather listen to the likes of Keane, Souness, Neville and other pros that have done at the Elite level. Sue Smith is just annoying and I'm sure they could find someone with a better pedigree to commentate. I do like recent ex players/managers that take up commentary also, Rowett, Prutton Beckford, Jenas, Swartzer.

We had so many chit male pundits and now we have chit female pundits added to the mix

Its a mans game now fack off and commentate on the womens game where i don't need to hear your crap and make up talk

The odd woman who excels i don't mind a guest appearance every now and then but we've been flooded with women all over the game and I for one don't like it.

I watch footy to get away from the women in my life, i enjoyed that, if that makes me sexist then fine im ok with that. But im sick of women in the mens game who know fack all and add no value other than looking fine which is nice but we have other sites for that kind of thing

I'd rather look at a boring woman than a boring man. Good point well made.

As Gnev said its harder than you think and hed invite any coach or manager to try it, Mourinho has out of curiosity and he clearly has a new respect for it now. Also said pundits should try coaching to appreciate it more too. Same as when gnev n carra did the lino training found out its not so facking easy.

Female pundits ive heard havent been great at getting their points across articulately and use a lot of cliches but theyve not been any worse than a lot of the male pundits either. It is always strange hearing them though, im not used to it yet.

Good comments OP, until the last paragraph. You've obviously fallen into the trap of comparing men's football with women's football. They are separate entities and this incarnation of women's football is in its infancy (relatively speaking).

Thanks. Personally, I prefer men's football because it's what I'm used to. I'm of the generation (women's) that wasn't encouraged to play football as it was considered a 'man's' game but I'm happy that girls and women can now play without many impediments and would always support their right to do so.

It's good that girls can now aspire to be professional footballers (or commentators) and that there are role models in those professions for them to look up to.

Women's football has been around a long, long time, (not quite as long as the men's) but was stopped in its tracks (by men) and is only just recovering and getting back to where it deserves to be.

I ll hold my hands up and admit the female soccer saturday match reporters are quite good, the one who doesn't have a live broadcast, but just an audio one, she's very good.

Most male pundits leave the bar so low that if you were to bring a random girl of the street - you would probably see a minor improvement

Let women look after the women’s game and men look after the men’s game!
