We need to get at the center backs and keep getting the ball into the box, they’re weak in the air across the back four so robbo and Trent will be key, flip side is they have the players to exploit the space in behind the two lads, Fabinho will be key to stopping the passing lanes into the channels for city to run into, and agureo is agureo loves a goal v us.

Fabinho is desperately needed, not just defensively, but his direct passing (Matip too) into our front three was desperately missed today.

GB, the point of taking each game as it comes is based on the fact that for starters, God knows which players even start next week.

Firstly Salah doesn’t look in good shape, Pep has confirmed Silva is seriously injured.
Secondly, a game against City is not your usual champion league night game, stakes are high and the players on both sides could get nervous, can’t predict how it will go.

A lot of people like to point to how Liverpool have smashed City in the past but in those games there was nothing on the line. City were comfortably a better team. Now things are different and the stakes are high for Liverpool.

Expect the first 10 minutes to be difficult and cagey. Little point thinking about that game now.
