I picked 9/11 of those. Had Robson for Beckham and Rooney for Shearer.
beckham? really... and in a midfield 3

Beckham was at times brilliant for England.
Never saw Edwards
Surely, saying all time would still put a limit on how far back this would go. A lot of people who may have an opinion on this from England of 50s, might struggle to even remember this.
Ok saying this I remember Neil Webb, Viv Andersen, Terry Butcher and Kenny Sansom.
Butcher and Sansom may get a few votes, but why the mention of Neil Webb
Neil Webb was England's 1000th cap. That's the only relevance he should have in this discussion!
Would just put Rooney and Robson for Shearer and Linekar
Shearer in but only scored as many as Kane with 20 odd more caps?

Kane leaving him in his wake now.
31 in 44 now. Impressive.

What are the all time goal stats excluding qualifiers and friendlies?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lineker 10
Shearer 7
Rooney 7
Owen 6
Kane 6
Hurst 6
At euros and world cups (I think)

No Alan Ball. Tell it’s young kids voting then.

Closed the article as soon as I saw Neville in the side.
Yes, I saw this. No consideration of George Cohen at RB who was tip-top.
I’d just have the 66 squad tbh, plus a couple that played in 70.
Always difficult because most people haven’t seen any England pre mid 80s on here, from what I can gather.
Very little argument against Neville when you look back at all of England’s right backs.
People will say Cohen without ever having watched him play and that’s about it. Neville was a superb full back.
Neville is there in the absence of any better options at right sided full back.
Which is kind of the idea behind these "Best XI's".
