Glad you see it that way Dos, so I suspect you possibly have a degree of sympathy for the people who have to put up with them poluting society with anti Catholic parades?

im going to a festival in barcelona next year, too far away for my liking
happy with the game today? looked pretty sharp in the first half.
ledley played well for celtic today, centre backs a bit ropey in first half but in second half dan looked better.
Regardless of what you are protesting about, I still find it ridiculous that people feel the need to do so at a football match. By all means if you believe strongly in something take a stand. Run for parliament, start a cult, chain yourself to a tree, blockade the M8. But dont get half cut wave a banner at a match and then moan that the establishment wont hear your protests. Some of us prefer just to watch our team play football.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Celtic are much more than just a football club. It is, and always has been the hub of the Irish community in Scotland.
If that upsets anyone, then they have to ask themselves questions about why they feel so agitated by that scenario.

i used to sit right next to the green brigade, and some of the stuff the police would chuck them out for was ridiculous, standing up i kid you not, got them chucked out.
we all go to see our club for the love of football, but i think the singing and atmosphere adds the the enjoyment of seeing the club.
Artur, that is utter p ish.

i agree about it not being a platform for politics, but at the same time its a bit more than kickin a ball around for any of us
i get your point though
Of course they are Zac.
If you want to think I am delusional, that's your choice, however, would you not agree that Celtic have a worldwide appeal?
Is it because they are a football club or is it because they are associated with the Irish community?
Artur<Whether anyone likes it or not, Celtic are much more than just a football club.>
Zachsda<No they're not.Maybe in your delusional mind,>
I agree with Artur.
Celtic were formed at the start out of a dire social need to feed people.

That undoubtedly has a lot to do with it Dos but the fact remains, Celtic's worldwide appeal, especially in America, is down to their Irish connections.
Many teams have won the European cup but I doubt Notts Forest or Aston Villa have anywhere near the following Celtic has worldwide.
Artur - Celtic have a global fanbase, that has nothing to do with anything else politcal or otherwise as has been shown by some comments from your fellow fans on here. Celtic are not more than a club, if you can tell me what else they are I will gladly stand corrected.
Keny - Unfortunately the standing thing is something that the authorities come down hard on in this country and I know Celtic have had issues with this. I read today that they are forwarding a motion to the spl to reintroduce terracing sections. However whilst some people might think its just people standing they dont realise the implications it has on other fans. One of my relatives had to give up going to away games as they are simply unable to stand for 90 mins during a game and were unable to see any of it. From a health and safety perspective all seater stadiums are not designed for people standing, so although I agree with the principle of fans standing its not practical right now.
i think it would be good to have the option to be honest mate, appreciate that soe people cant or dont want to stand for 90 minutes, but to have the option would be good
Thats what I read Celtic are pushing. Apparently terracing is not illegal in Scotland it was just a rule set up when the spl formed. Therefore in order to introduce sections back into the grounds it would only take 8 out of 12 teams to agree to it, so its possible. I would like to see it as well because it generates a good atmosphere. It also means those who want to sit and those who want to stand can do so in peace without annoying one another.
