I think Halfy believes Bute, Wolfgang, Boston, Lone and Unc Herb are the same

Eh, I don't believe it.
I would have nothing to do with those reprobates.
As the oldest poster on here, I don't believe in winding people up.
All I care about in this forum is WWFC.
Don't say I protesteth too much.

5th in the league and still in Europe. Been many years when it just didn’t look possible. It’s been a long Road back from that day we lost 3-0 at Chorley in the FA Cup. That happened 33 years ago today
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chorley is very similar to Bournemouth in that over 25,000 Wolves claim to have been there despite the attendance being only just over 5,000.

I wont claim to have been one of those there that night, in fact at that point I dont think I'd ever been to an away game, but I do recall that at the time I wasn't that bothered by the result despite the claims that it was a new low.

Jack Harris and the Gallaghers had come in, Turner had been appointed manager, we hadn't had a bad start to the season and it felt like things were starting to turn around. Chorley felt like a blip to me at the time. Remember in those days sitting in the new stand as we still called it then and being able to change ends at half time, non league style. Could sit where you wanted provided there wasnt a "reserved season ticket holders only" sticker on the seat.

Even more importantly we had just signed Steve Bull.

I didn’t go to the Chorley game but have to say it felt more than a blip. It told us what we had half known for a while, that our team at the time was truly non league standard

Wolves youngster Owen Otasowie impressed against PSG last week and now the French team want to sign the player who is out of contract in the summer. Liverpool and Arsenal also reported to be interested

as one of the elite that went to all three chorley games the worst thing was that it was at bolton and a good 50% of their fans were bolton fans

Put him in a room with nuno for 15 minutes, he'll do the right thing.

UH will tell you that Nuno is going to Arsenal, it's all agreed behind the scenes, they just have to pay off the hapless Emery first.
I'll tell you the truth, Nuno is 'home' and he 'aint going anywhere.

Sanderson reminds me more of Iorfa to be honest, although not seen him live yet. This lad looks good on the ball in the Coady role but these clips dont show how he deals with crosses.

Watched the second half of the Villa game last night, whether it was the quality of the opposition or the fact that Grealish was back, they looked much more effective that they did at the Molineux. I think they'll probably survive quite comfortably on this showing. Ol Greasy to be fair had a very good game and Villa should have scored 2 or 3 more in the second half.

Newcastle on the other hand were shocking, Bruce has got a real job on there, his forwards were all over the place and didn't see Shelvey complete a pass.

Telford’s pitch remains unplayable after all the rain we have been having. Surely Wolves will cancel their arrangement to play U23 games there unless the pitch is relaid.

Wednesday’s game against Athletic Bilbao will be played at the National Football Centre At St George’s, Burton

UH told us this yesterday on another thread, however Halfy has spoken the NES and he’s going nowhere anytime soon !

My lad's team haven't played for about five weeks now due to the rain and state of the pitches, which are mostly school and council owned. His club have 3G pitch which having contributed directly and through fund raising events to fund it, Im a bit p!ssed off that we're now about 12th on the list to actually use it.

We can all sleep soundly now safe in the knowledge that Halfy has it covered

Been reading today that Boly could be back as early as January, which would be great news if true. Having read initially that it was a fracture and dislocation I was concerned it might have been in the Andre Gomes category but it seems not. Im guessing January will be back in training, likely a few weeks on from that for playing. Comments came from an interview with Saiss by the way so certainly not a considered medical opinion.

speak to nuno ?
more like speak to the trees or the fairies.

It adds to the achievement of getting to 5th in the league that we have done so without our best defender and in recent games have been fielding a back 3 of Dendoncker, Coady and Saiss who were all initially used by the club as midfield players.

Also the fact that 7 of our last 10 games in all competitions have been away and on Thursday we will make that 8 from 11.

Be good to see some games at Molineux in early December. We play there 4 times between the 1st and the 15th

Interesting read. Wasn't aware of that West Ham link. Not sure I like the idea of him being labelled as a player who doesn't honour contracts.
