Must admit when I saw him play for Mexico in the World Cup just after we had signed him I thought we had made a mistake. He did very little and didn’t even look like a player who could hold up the ball let alone score goals. But from his first game at Molineux it was clear we had signed a winner and he has just got better and better
Been talking to a friend who has travelled over to Braga. Wolves sold out of their 2,000 allocation and lots of people have travelled without a ticket. But Braga have been more than happy to sell them tickets in the home areas so there will be a lot more than 2,000 Wolves fans there.
The stadium was carved out of a mountain and there’s a sheer rock face behind one goal. And it’s a steep uphill walk from the city to the stadium. Once at the stadium those with tickets for the upper tier face a climb up 200 steep steps. So sounds like a good fitness exercise for those that have travelled

good article on the success of raul at wolves
https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/raul-jimenez-wolves-success-premier-league-nuno-espirito-santo

Interesting read. Wasn't aware of that West Ham link. Not sure I like the idea of him being labelled as a player who doesn't honour contracts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure how they come to that conclusion (though I haven't read the article yet) given he was on the bench in Portugal for several years.
I’m on 9.40 am from Gatwick tomorrow, staying in Porto, bought tickets from Braga, should be a great couple of days even with all those steps!

daily mail says arsenal decided on nuno
article not by their main football journo, martin samuel, but by some underling.
I don't give any credence to the Daily Mail on anything.
fact is that if anyone in a position of responsibility at a top premier club looking for a new manager is going to consider nuno.
not too worried personally - the club that does worry me is benfica, the top portuguese club by a mile and means being at home with his family.

Arrived in Porto yesterday, got a soaking yesterday afternoon! Don’t really see the rain coming, nice and pleasant one minute then the heavens opened and bouncing off pavement for 2 hours. If you’re staying in Porto hctl you’ll be used to the steps before you get to Braga, jeez it is hilly.

All the best mate, enjoy!
A lad I know went out yesterday, not coming back until Saturday. Recipe for disaster!
Difficult to say how many have bought tickets from Braga Wolfgang.
The was probably 30 or more Wolves fans on my flight from Bristol yesterday morning and saw a few round Porto last night. Expecting a lot more to arrive today and tomorrow.
Interesting times at the moment, its quite transparent that Arsenal, Everton and West Ham are all desperately trying to line up replacements before they give their respective coaches the boot. Clubs rarely boot the boss out these days without a replacement lined up whilst the seat is still warm. Arteta seems to be being lined up for both Everton & Arsenal for obvious reasons, but dont see either of them gambling on giving him his first job. Benitez has said he's ready to come back to the PL but you can rule him out of Everton at least. Pochettino will go to Bayern or Man U. Who else is out there that fits the bill for these clubs and will provide the kind of boost in fortunes they're looking for? Bielsa maybe, but cant see him moving at the moment. You can understand the Nuno interest, but I dont think its just wishful thinking to say I dont think he's going anywhere.
It’s impossible for a team to do well and not have other clubs trying to prise away their manager and best players. So we just need to get used to that and hope Nuno and co still believe the club is going in the right direction. If not now then certainly next summer these guys will inevitably get some very tempting offers
reported attack by standard liege hooligans on wolves fans last night in porto
There was some trouble by the river this afternoon, missed the heavy rain , Porto nice place but not happy to see trouble close up , will not go into details , not entirely sure of the cause of it
Wolves U23s in action against Bilbao at 7pm live on Wolves tv. Jordan Graham in the starting 11
Wolves 1 up early should have been 2 but Jordan Graham had a penalty saved
Ashley-Seal scored in the 4th minute.
Tried to get the u23 game on the wolves app but didn't work, had finished by thre time I could be ahssed to get the laptop out
Sounds like a lively night in Porto. Scuffles here and there and alleged that some Wolves caught up with last nights gang and gave them a kicking.
Seen some laughable stuff on twitter, men in their 50s running around like they're playing soldiers in the school playground. W@nkers.
Not sure there are many more embarrassing sights than fully grown men dancing back and forth on a pavement looking as if they want a ruck but with every forward hop they then hop two steps back
Luckily not seen any trouble. Could hear wolves fans on river from apartment about a mile away but decided not to head down there as struggle to get beer. Went to local bar, 50-50 Wolves Liege and good atmosphere, no trouble whatsoever. Did hear there were problems down by river and bars shut, so made a good choice.
