The players have let him down massively today so far.

Far too slow in possession, barring Rashford absolutely no movement up top whatsoever, Fred and Pereira passing to the opposition at every opportunity, trying to buy fouls instead of fighting for the ball, no commitment, just terrible.

Hairdryer required.

Jones is a nervous mess at the best of times but he literally has no idea what he is doing in that left sided CB role. Was not the time for Williams next to him to make his second PL start either.

Switch to a back 4 and get Garner/Axel in midfield

This has been predictably bad.

Players don't look ar$ed but I don't think this system has helped either.

The midfield has been a non-entity which is usually the case when we play with an extra defender and it just makes playing out from the back and building even more difficult.

The movement ahead has been poor too but one thing impacts the other.

Remove one of the defenders and give the midfield some help to try and get a bit more control.
