I know hes had a ton of work done and was wearing loads of make up but Pacino looks and sounds a completely different person to the actor in the Godfather films

Michael Corleone is my favourite performance of all time and I know that's a common sentiment

It was a perfectly good (if not a little long) film.
Unfortunately for all films of this type the question is "is it as good as Goodfellas"? The answer is nowhere near.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, was going to wait but watched it Wed night after all.
I surprised myself by realising I would actually love a wee go on the actress who played Pesci's wife, she must be well in her 50s as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
She was tidy in The Sopranos 👌

Watched it after the game last night, very good, didn't think anyone's acting let the film down, the de-ageing only jarred me for about 5 minutes.
Spoiler!!
Only scene I though was bad was when DeNiro beat up the shop keeper, I know he's an old man now but he looked so stiff and looked like a 3 year would pack more punch, should have been cut or shot differently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was what I was alluding to earlier when I was criticising the de-ageing.. surely it wouldn't have cost too much to use a body double and then CGI De Niro's face on.
My brother and I unintentionally burst out laughing at that scene, just at how bad it was

Typical scouser.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They could have redone the scene from Goodfellas where Liotta beats the guy up with his gun. Would have been quicker and easier
The Irishman is on too long.
Good performances from most of the actors particularly the Scouse boy.
Al Pacino - One of thee most overrated actors to appear in film, he's an absolute one trick pony, tense, angry little man - he was so good in scarface as that was just his natural self coming out. In 'Heat' he was a fckn parody - nearly spoiled it.
The Irishman will never reach thr heights of 'Casino' or 'Goodfellas' imho.

Paddyshack?
This film is too long, but only by about 3 and half hours.
Really, what mind-wreckingkly-utterly-boring-feckin-vomit-inducing-turgid stuff.
The absolute best that can be said for it is that might, just might, be a universal cure for insomnia (mind you it didn't work for me)
Keech, turdish, tollies and kach are all nearest you can come to a compliment of this self-indulgent, repetitive nonsense.
Awful. Really truly awful. I can only liken it to trying to have a whank to Maggie Thatcher* - it's that bad.
* This simile does not apply to Pointy. Obviously.

And on top of all that the Irishman didn't seem to be in the least bit irish.
Anyway, I'm away to help Zach search for a kidney for his wean. His wean doesn't need one, mind you,but it will be more fun than watching yon keech.

Aye, they should have just cut it at the bit he launched him through the window, everything else after that was comically bad.
