as much as I would love Scotland to be there, I just cant see it, maybe beat Israel but Norway/Serbia away from home I cant see it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They would make kick off time 9am, and the Scots fans will still turn up drunk
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How the fack else do you turn up for a football match??

gotta have 7/8 pints before any game, even a 12.30 KO
Tickets go on sale on 4th December, A-Rab.
Group F.
England almost always get sheite groups in tournaments.
Don't fancy Wales' chances in that group. Probably the weakest of those teams, but I'd never write them off even with Giggs as manager. They did very well last euro's, so hopefully come out strong again
If Bale and Ramsey are fit and on form then anything can happen for them.
But it is unlikely both will be.
Wales beating Belgium was an immense achievement. Belgium have got a lot better since then so if that match up happened again, I think Belgium would win comfortably, even with a fit and on form pair in bale and Ramsay. They have a great spirit the Welsh team so they'll be up for doing some damage in the euros.
Going into the last 16 of the Euros, England won't have played a world class opponent in a meaningful competitive fixture since playing Germany in 2010.
Belgium at the last world cup both were dead rubbers.
Croatia were mediocre
2016 played no one
2014 went out to mediocre Italy and Uruguay teams
2012 can't even remember. Italy were shiiite.
If we did qualify for the Euros, big if, we'd still be massive underdogs in our group. But it's not a lot different to Euro 16. Poland would be a very hard game, Sweden is possibly winnable and Spain will probably win the group. Realistically, from a Northern Irish point of view it's the best we could hope for. If we get there, we have a chance of third spot and qualifying for the next phase
Oh, don't remind me of the last time Northern Ireland met Poland in the Euros
Poland beat Northern Ireland in Euro 2016. The score was 1-0 through a goal from Milik. Don't know if people remember so just thought I'd mention
Yeah I was at the game. Was in the restricted view area, so their was a mixed fanbase. There were a couple of Polish fans heading out to the toilets standing right behind us as they scored. They actually apologised for celebrating the goal! Really impressed with that sportsmanship!
I actually forgot Poland scored, tbh. Had it as a 0-0, thanks for reminding me Barry.
In tournaments where some of the third placed teams go through, how does the governing body decided which group winners will play third placed teams and which play second place sides? They never seem to publish this so I’m assuming it’s not some kind of pre-draw.
Good question. I think that is also preordained. Maybe?!
I'm a Northern Ireland fan, so not expecting much beyond the group stages, if we get there
Melbourne, it is worked out already.
If 3rd comes from A, B, C and D then it is:
1B vs 3A, 1C vs3D, 1E vs 3B and 1F vs 3C
Then there are about 15 possibilities, so won't go into all of them.
I thought you were Irish DJ. At least we have it easy, assuming we win our play off games, that we almost certainly won't, we have a pretty clear path to the final! Name's on the cup
Aye that's what I thought. The bad part. You get your toy show, we get our terrorism.
