I can't remember us ever making many really good signings in January. Anelka maybe. Apart from that quite a lot of cross. It's never a great time to buy players.
As long as we're free to buy players next summer again then that's what really matters

Its not a bold claim at all. The bold claim would be to say "he will be a worldclass star for years to come".
There's never guarantees with young players.
No end of young wingers who came shooting out the blocks just to fade away, walcott, lennon, dyer amongst others.
His numbers are fantastic, but if they want £150 million for him?

The players you mention haven't come close to doing what he has done in his time at Dortmund. I think the fact that you look at his style of play, that he isn't a pace merchant, that he has techinique, plays with his head up, can go either way when going past people and makes the right decisions when under pressure put him way ahead the likes of Walcott at that age.

But that sounds like mount to me who is doing things each week that I did not know he had, he is quicker and more technical then I thought. Listen i'm not poopooing sancho, just saying we have an array of players that do we really need to spend £150million.
If we were, i'd rather spend £250 on mbappe.

How could we forget.
I'm sure we could make a long list of dross signings we've made in the Jan window, starting with Torres. It's just not a window that we ever get much out of in terms of quality or value.

I'm thinking of Ake as more of a versatile defender who can play nearly everywhere along the back line.
Don't think he's any better than what we got superb though? bournemouth conceded same as us this year.
I know he's played more at CB but I think he could be a good LB for us as well.

Ake is definitely a standout player for them, very comfortable on the ball (left footed) so fits in at LCB or LB if required. We've got a buy back on him too. He's better than AC & Zouma for me and fits the profile.
With regards to Chilwell, he's got more a footballing brain than Walker. Chilwell has gotten better with assists and crosses. Got the engine to go up and down all game. He's only 22 so just getting better really. Leicester will get rid but it'd be a ridiculous price.

He's got three assists in 12 games for us an bagged a hat-trick of assists for England too. And no we wouldn't sell him, absolutely zero chance.

fair enough arro. I will keep a closer eye on him this year. But as you say unlikely he will be sold.
If a big club makes a big offer for him Leicester will sell, there's a decent chance of that happening. It will cost two arms and a leg though.
