The problem is that exactly, it produces 1/4 of the economy but gives very little out to the rest of the uk. It's a bubble that most of rest of the UK dislike. The city of London draws all the talent from other industry from the rest of the UK as well.
People wonder why old mining towns have lost their seats, well they ain't mining like they used to and it's in massive decline and people aren't just going by what their parents and grandparents voted for anymore.
Pure arrogance expecting to keep these seats.

If Scotland gets their referendum and gets out they will benefit from being in the Eurozone.
England will be worse off when they exit. Corporations don't want to be in a small market like England and will leave to other European countries with a market of 500m people.
England manufactory is dead and don't produce nothing of worth. The only industry they have left is the financial one which is selling a lot of hot air.
Scotland better be in the EU with countries like Germany which is the biggest economy in Europe and France.

The UK is 9th in the world for manufacturing output, on a similar level to France and Italy.
It should be much higher of course, but the idea we don't make anything any more is just nonsense, and governments (and voters) need to stop believing it.

What can Johnson offer that Corbyn cannot? He is part of a party that has offered nothing for the last nine years.
Boris is offering to leave the EU, you might not agree with it but a majority voted for it and Labour spent 3 years trying to frustrate the process, remainers spent 3 years calling leavers think and racist and then wonder why they aren't voting the way they want them to vote.
Comment deleted by Site Moderator
A small number of Tories compared to almost all Labour MP's. Boris didn't vote against it because he didn't want to leave though, the Tory remainers like Anna Soubry and Dominic Grieve left or got kicked out the party and now lost their seats.
Comment deleted by Site Moderator
It matters because he clearly still wanted to leave, voting twice against a deal isn't the same as spending 3 years criticising literally everything the government does while offering no solutions themselves, and then offering a choice of the softest of soft Brexits vs remain in a 2nd referendum.

Not the facts you're asking for but I think he's saying they voted on hope that their lives would be better cos they're fairly sheet now.

Desperate people do desperate things. They wanted Brexit - he was the only one offering it.

England manufactory is dead and don't produce nothing of worth. The only industry they have left is the financial one which is selling a lot of hot air.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The UK is 9th in the world for manufacturing output, on a similar level to France and Italy.
It should be much higher of course, but the idea we don't make anything any more is just nonsense, and governments (and voters) need to stop believing it.

I am still awaiting an answer to why all these Brexiteers think their lives will be better than they are now. Such an easy thing to say let`s get Brexit done, without actually knowing where we will all end up.
It`s like say selling your house without actually knowing where you will be moving to, it could be a cardboard box.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
London is basically propping up the rest of the UK, time for London to go Independent. All those voters up North and in the Midlands who think Brexit is going to give them a land of honey, are in for a massive, massive shock.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's exactly what the issue is now London gets a huge amount of funding definitely much more pro rata than any other area in the UK there is a huge disparity in post code locations, but living in London Sandy you dont need to worry about that, Brexit or not London will still get the lions share of funding
----------------------------------------------------------------------
London gets a big amount of funding, because it generates most of the money that keeps the country afloat. There is no industry in the country now, without the banking sector, the country would probably collapse. I mean I know places like Halifax and Redcar have gone Tory, but WTF do they actually bring to the table, they literary have nothing going for them, having mostly been destroyed by Thatcher in the 1970s and 1980s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's so black and white to you Sandy, the the reason these areas voted Conservative is for the hope that things might change for them, not saying it will, but these same people knew that voting for Corbyn definitely would not change anything, get out and see how the rest of the country lives
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not being funny Danny, but how have they voted for change, they have voted for exactly the same. The Tories have been running the country for the last nine years not the Labour Party. I would not call that hope, but stupidity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what I said it's all black and white to you, but other people think differently, they are hoping for a change after we leave the EU , and also no one in his right mind would vote Corbyn
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which I would have no issue with if the people that voted to leave could actually give an argument supported by facts that leaving the EU will make their life better....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You know that, their parent any, but when your life is so rubbish you live on hope dont you or may be you have never been in that situation hopefully not, but there are areas of this country that have given up and in desperation turned to Boris in the hope that Brexit will change their lives
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're genuinely going to have to try that again cos I have no idea what you''re saying here. I just about get the last bit but you have offered nothing in terms of what actually leaving the EU is going to do for anyone?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The first bit reads there aren't any, ok

What can Johnson offer that Corbyn cannot? He is part of a party that has offered nothing for the last nine years.

Boris is offering to leave the EU, you might not agree with it but a majority voted for it and Labour spent 3 years trying to frustrate the process, remainers spent 3 years calling leavers think and racist and then wonder why they aren't voting the way they want them to vote.

A small number of Tories compared to almost all Labour MP's. Boris didn't vote against it because he didn't want to leave though, the Tory remainers like Anna Soubry and Dominic Grieve left or got kicked out the party and now lost their seats.

It matters because he clearly still wanted to leave, voting twice against a deal isn't the same as spending 3 years criticising literally everything the government does while offering no solutions themselves, and then offering a choice of the softest of soft Brexits vs remain in a 2nd referendum.

Get over it Sandy your Labour party got it all wrong, bad choice of leader for the 2nd time Milliband and Corbyn come on, not get far with that calibre of leader, and worse a leader who doesn't know if hes in or out prefers to sit on the fence, cant vote for that.

If Scotland do get independence it could take years before they became part of the EU.
If they were accepted during a EU vote(and that’s a big if) it would take many years before it actually happened.

The amusing thing in was the racist card was played against Labour, and we have ended up with the first Racist Prime Minister in my lifetime. You couldn`t make it up.
