I like the enthusiasm, Afridi! As long as we win I’ll be happy.

Need to start a lot sharper than on Boxing Day, that's for sure
Hope Tyler Roberts is fit enough to make the bench at least.
Let's be optimistic ... 0-1 (Nketiah) .. and then on to WBA with a bit of confidence..

Just think we play with a bit more freedom away from home with more onus on the home teams to attack

Id start Eddie and rest El Bamford for WBA. Quickfire games and we can't rotate, flawed management. 1-2 win

If we want to try and keep Eddie and minimise the disruption to squad that Kinnear proffered as an excuse, then Eddie needs to decent amount of game time.

Has Nketiah done enough to deserve a start ahead of Bamford? We seem to completely lose our shape when Bamford's not playing. Don't care how they do it but three points is a psychological must from todays game in the approach to the West Brom crunch tie.

If Nketiah is leaving then he should. Put Edmondson on the bench instead. No use in playing players that don't want to be here.

Nothing to suggest he doesn’t want to be here. It’s his club who will make the decision. He just wants more game time.

That said - he’s better off the bench for me.

1-2 Harrison and Bamford.

It’s really nothing to do with him deserving a start it’s all to do with whether the club feel they need to do all they can to retain him for rest of season.

Play bamford give Eddie little if any minutes you lose Eddie then have to find replacemdnt who won’t be up to speed with Bielsa’s methods etc etc

Play Eddie more, he stats, at least you have options now for rest of season.

That’s the bigger picture, the corner we have painted ourselves into by selling, not buying and not giving enough match time to u23s so there is some sort of backup there.

Klich needs a rest, yet we can't rest him. Douglas is also an option today to rotate. Eddie needs more minutes ir needs to go back, end of.

Brendan made 10 changes yesterday and still won at West Ham. Kept his players fresh.
What would happen if we did that? We saw against stoke in the cup that big changes meant defeat.
Can’t remember players coming back from injury going straight back into the team -even cooper was on the bench. We just don’t have enough options

It’s not that big changes mean defeat it means that bringing in too many inexperienced players at once means defeat.

I’m an advocate of trying to give youth players first team game time but not throwing 6 in at once losing the match and therefore further opportunities to get match time.

It means when we get to a derby type play off match at end of season and we need to change a game we’re going to have to bring players on who have zero first team experience.

in a perfect world we need to do exactly that.
the problem is because of all the sitters we miss the games are always tighter than they should be and we end up sticking with the same players to see out the games.
we need a few blowouts to bleed in 1 or 2 players at a time. the sad thing is we should have had many such opportunities so far.

Jonty nailed the Eddie/squad rotation issue.

MB's decisions today will impact not only Eddie
staying or leaving, but also the rest of season.

Some of the massive amount of faith I had in
MB has already gone. He needs to stop being
so damn stubborn.

batty don't lose faith in bielsa, hes the reason we are where we are. no one is infallible but mb knows better than us who should be in the team. im for getting eddie into games but we can't let a loaner disrupt the team.

Mont well what about Boro match 4-0 up brings in Alioski Berardi and Eddie (only 10 mins)

Clarke and stevens unused and Eddie could have got more time.

Bielsa is actually really poor at giving youth players valuable first team time the right way.

The other interesting point re Bielsa is none of his ex players ever seem to re unite with him. Most managers go back to past players when needed.

Is the answer to have Paddy and Eddie on together? How many times has that ever happened and did it work?
