Upandcomingo sounds like a good young CB though Don
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am with you Don, the whole defence needs changing, but that includes Toby, who played a massive part in both the Norwich goals. He is clearly over the top now.
Unrealistic to think the whole defence will change overnight though, will take three windows minimum, and a lot of money.
We are back to cement boot levels of defending without the real hammerings. I shudder when I think back to those days.

How are we going to pay for this? Good defenders cost £50m. None of our defenders would fetch more than £20m so selling them won't make enough to fund it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s not true....both of ours cost £7m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about the one that cost £75m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ouch 😁

With all due respect to you Don, a few weeks ago you was very much in the ‘Poch out’ camp. Now he’s out, you’re saying it’s the players that need to leave. It’s clear to all and sundry that the problem doesn’t lie at the managers door, but at Levy’s. Squad transfer activity, or lack thereof, is coming home to roost. He didn’t back Poch and won’t back Mourinho as we need to spend at least £175mn on that defence. That’s not happening under ENIC’s watch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With all due respect mate, I was one of the first on here years ago criticising levy and predicted this mess years ago so you are preaching to the already converted. Yes, I wanted Pochettino out and to right, the results were abysmal and that was down to the manager to. That being said, I said last season we needed a clear out and was one of the fans not convinced that we got to the CL final and even called talksport to say it papered over the cracks.

Fair enough mate. As you know, many of us was upset when Poch left. To us, the current situation is not of his own making, but down to Levy’s tight f|sted ways. No matter who is in charge of this creaking team, I don’t care if it’s Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti or whoever, the players we now have are simply not good enough bar 3 or 4. As Poch said two summers back, we need to be brave as a club if we want to step up to the next level. We did neither and have gone backwards. Chelsea boy Jose is not the answer

Don, Of course appointing Mourinho was the correct deicision. The results under Pochettino in 2019 were awful and the was taking Spurs down. Mourinho will change the team no doubt. Most of the players that are not currently up to it were Pochettino buys anyway, so he has to take most of the blame for the current mess at the back.
It will take two or three windows, but Spurs will be all the better for the change of manager this time next season.
There he goes again with “Pochettino buys”. When has any manager under Levy’s watch been given full autonomy to choose the players thy want? If you know anything about our club, you’ll know that it’s done by committee with the bald one having the final say. Furthermore, if you’re expecting some massive overhaul or injection of funds into the squad over the next two years, you’re even more deluded than I thought
