Always thought Everton fans were harsh on the lad. He’s a good player
Decent but not good enough to be the main man for where Everton want to be. Comparing him to a winger for goals to minutes is a bit strange however.

I started to guess myself that this guy is/was lowkey underrated a few months ago. I, like a lot of people, viewed him as someone who works hard and can kind of be a menace for defenders in some sense but not a good enough goalscorer.
However, in his time at Everton he has roughly managed a goal every 2.5-2.6 games in all competitions. This is helped by a really good record against lower teams in league cup but still. Usually a striker with that kind of ratio from ages of 19-22 (age he started playing at everton to his current age) is rated higher. Bare in mind he plays/played a lot as a sub, in a dysfunctional everton team and when he was younger, out wide. He has scored against some big teams in his time too.
I don’t think he’ll ever be a great goalscorer, like even 20 a season. I know he’s on a good run now but it is my instinct watching him that even the goals he scores now are slightly opportunistic than someone who is a supreme poacher. However if he can reliably get 10-14 a season, with his pace, strength, work rate and aerial ability, he’s a fine choice for any team in the league as a squad option who can also push to start.

You only expect it, despite him playing on the wing, as he's a much better player, playing in a much better team. However to include goals to minutes ratio and compare a striker against a winger is stupid, as it doesn't show what you're trying to show, it doesn't compare like for like. He could have been compared against Firmino for example and still shown in a favourable light.

Meh, can’t say I agree with this because Mané/salah aren’t typical wingers and Firmino isn’t a typical no 9. Firmino drops deeper to create for the wide forwards, so it’s harsh to compare him to the likes of Aguero/Kane

It's what Liverpool fans do. They twist whatever they can in their favour. I'm sure if someone said they had a better forward than Mane/Salah etc they would bring out the goals they score.
They may not be traditional strikers, but there is nothing traditional about how the game is evolving. They are the front three in a fluid system where they are interchange. They are an incredible unit and work insanely hard for their team and produce week in week out. But to say he is a winger to absolve him from a cheeky goals per minute ratio is rather amusing... Neverton fans trying to big up their average striker as he scored a few goals.
They'll cling to anything. As I said before, he's not good enough to start as the main man up top for where you want to be and in the summer, you'll see that, when you sign somebody to take his place. He's playing as you have nobody else.

Richarlison isn't a striker. Just because he's played there before doesnt mean he's the best option, when you have an actual striker. Also it takes somebody away from the wide role.
He's playing ahead of Kean as he hasn't cut it thus far. But certainly he will go on to be a much better player and have a much better career. Still time for it to work out at Everton but considering his age and playing in a new country you can understand if he doesnt hit the ground running.

The Italian, who has managed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, said: “He is a fantastic striker in my opinion – fantastic with the head, clever in the box, and sharp.
“But he’s young and for this reason he has to improve. He is a humble guy and he doesn’t talk a lot.
“I think he is going to be at the top in England and in Europe. He has all the qualities to be a top striker.”
Carlo knows better than you chump.
Hey OP. DCL played RWB for Everton also.
But I am sure TOOR knows this.
Well, can’t believe Carlo wanted him while in Italy.
Then let’s the club offer him a new and improved deal. We should have been in for golden shoe winner Solanke, not World Cup winning goal scorer DCL.

Neverton fans trying to big up their average striker as he scored a few goals.
They'll cling to anything. As I said before, he's not good enough to start as the main man up top for where you want to be and in the summer, you'll see that, when you sign somebody to take his place. He's playing as you have nobody else.

He is keeping Richarlison. A player who is played up top for Brazil, out wide. He has also outscored him.
He is playing instead of Kean as he offers more than two full internationals.
