kante was great second half today. Think people are kind of scapegoating him. hes had some great performances and some poor ones since coming back from an injury.
His best season imo was last year, hes never been makelele.
I said something similar to this. Chelsea must be more direct. Abraham is good in the air but when you are losing he never gets any crosses. Fling the ball into him, get the defences of West Ham and Southampton going backwards and defending.

I might need to watch a bit of the French national team to see how Kante playing as a CDM would be beneficial to him, because I just can't see it. He's got far too much aggression & energy to be labored with such a restrictive role in terms of movement when the team's out of possession. He needs to be harassing people in midfield, not stuck shuttling protecting the defense.
Jorginho playing higher I can't understand either. We've seen on a number of occasions, a ton last year, how easy it is to mark him out of games - he's not got the physicality to combat it. Playing higher would make it easier for opposition to bully him without compromising their shape, at least from deeper positions they need to sacrifice spaces in order to cut him off. If we had another really good playmaker next to him (e.g. like Xavi had Iniesta) then it makes more sense cos that player would give the opposition a second problem/force them to make choices.
