They werent that bad! Admittedly they got a tad physical, however there is nothing playing to your strengths to beat another team!
Rodwell shouldn't have got carded as he clearly played the ball!
I still can't see how Neville even touched Silva, he seemed to go down very easily all game!
However I think the Cahill decision was right, the reason why it wasn't a straight red was because at the time Cahill went to play the ball Vincent's body between Cahill and the ball so it wouldn't have been right. Kompany did (accidentally) stamp on Cahill's leg when trying to regain balance after being knocked off the ball
repetitive strain injury

I just realised my last paragraph didnt make any sense. My point is when Cahill lunged he wasn't about to go into the back of Kompany that only happened once Vincent had turned his body into Cahills tackle.
Garston, why not try to tell us your point rather than going to YouTube every post
Cityblueloz, for once, I agree with you. He absolutely does my head in.
That is not the point Edinspur, once Vincent turned his back to shield the ball out of play, that tackle then came from behind and therefore should have resulted in a straight red card.

I'm off to read an Agather Christie novel
Moyes is a sad bitter wee man who hates us with a passion . I bet the Lescott saga (which HE made into a saga) still eats away at him.
After watching his post match interview, I can honestly say I've seen happier bulldogs licking urine off nettles
I think it is a fair point NY. Because of Lescotts ball to Kompany it was a 50/50 chance and thus no red card was deserved.
Maybe Moyes is trying to organise another Trial by Media campaign like Arsenal did with Adebayour, looks like they've already got MOTD on board.

Edinspur it dosen't matter whether it is a 50/50 ball or not. The point is all tackles from behind should be automatic red cards. So once again the so called top ref in this country fails to obey the rules properly, by not red carding Cahill for that tackle.
Let us say that if that tackle had been on Gareth Bale or Jermaine Defoe for e.g. would you have been happen if Cahill only got a red card. I don't think so.
How the hell was that a 50/50 ball? Kompany was shielding it so it would go for a City throw and Cahill tried to clatter him.
Kompany turned his back after Cahill was grounded. He also raised his studs, unlike Cahill. I don't know how a City fan can complain after that performance by Webb
Not all tackles from behind are red cards. Only if they are malicious or intentional. Now Cahills tackle was not intentional or malicious enough to warrant a red card as he showed no high feet and was only aiming to get the ball (which he might of got a knick of).
Now I think you mean that if the same thing happened to one of our players I would probably have wanted a red. Well at the time yes, but thats because I have a huge bias towards Spurs, however being able to look at the challenge rationally I would come to the conclusion that the right decision was made.
Garston thinks he is bright as a button doesn't he!? His attempts at intellectualism are laughable. Almost like a child using a youtube video as a clumsy metaphor to 'philosophise', but being totally oblivious to the fact it makes him look an idiot.
Oh hang on...
Even the Toffees must think he's an embarassment.
Nice and classy comeback from you inky
During the game I thought the ref got the decision right. I suppose an argument can be made that Cahill could/should have received a red card, but hand on heart I do feel that would have been harsh on Cahill.
Watching the highlights afterwards, Kompany did come down on Cahill's ankle, so in all fairness it wouldn't have been harsh had Kompany received a booking also. It's debatable whether Kompany's reaction was intentional or not. For that reason, I think Moyes was wrong to say, flat out, that Kompany "did" Cahill.
We are nothing if not classy
Ripleys cat, I dont think he intentionally stamped on him tbh. He just planted a leg after losing his footing
I don't think he intentionally stamped on him either. But the bottom line is only Kompany knows for certain. Moyes certainly doesn't, and neither does Cahill.
Just looked at it in slo-mo many times and i would say the ref got it dead right, Cahill did come in from behind, but studs were not up and he was genuinely trying to get the ball. However he did catch the man and that is a bookable offence, VK tried to balance himself and in doing so stood on Cahill's ankle. I truly believe it was an accident and the ref was spot on
Emu's in the zone (U4783) I think you will find it was Mark Huges that made it into a saga, At Everton Davey is the boss and if he wants to sell someone or not, He makes the decision Mr Huges could not/ would not understand, Anyway congrats on your win, think you may go all the way this year
Under blatant instructions to 'do a job' on David Silva, glad we showed our class and came out with the result we deserved. Can't blame them for setting up the way they did, but it's testiment to where we're at now that we can still break teams like that down.
