Let's hope it was just a minor strain and out of precaution they decided to let rest him. I would love to see the King/Gallas partnership soon! I remember how he performed last season at the Emirates! He was class!
The funny thing is that Woody has played just about every league game for Stoke. How is that possible? I thought he was virtually crippled when he was on our books. King and Woody ...now thats a combination.
In fact didn't he get man of the match?
Gallas is next best thing we have to King imo, bad news this.

Worst THudd ever.
Spot on Don, but i'm confident we'll see more of Ledley this season. Maybe we lose so many players to injuries because we aren't willing to give them the sort of injections Hargreaves had at Man U.. just a thought.
junction - don't remind me of the Blackpool game - he had a nightmare that day!
Maybe Gallas was pushing himself a bit too hard to make the NLD? He got through the recent friendly OK. Hopefully its not too bad and he can make the bench next game.
The calf's only a little muscle anyway - inject him!!
On a more positive note physioroom have got Pienaar, Niko, Lennon & Tom all coming back this week. How true that is I have no idea
Tom's not coming back this week as he's due to see a specialist tomorrow to decide if he needs surgery.
tom def not back,as spurcat say's,looking increasingly likely that surgery is needed.
as much as i like Huddleston i don't think it's to much of an issue with him being injured. Were a bit over loaded with central midfielders anyway and Parke, Sandro are excellent and Livermore is more than good enough to cover for the Hudd
I don't think Thudd's been right for about 12 months now
Why do our medical team seem to drag some injuries out? Maybe they should send Thudd to VDV's doctor.
Thanks Spurcat - i'd been hearing rumours of surgery for awhile now. At least it's not an area we're short in
ddd - that's a really good point - VDV said on his website he saw a Dutch specialist (Dirk Van Toom from memory) that doesn't say a lot for our medical team does it?

Exactly mate, our medical staff have been a joke for years. It's no coincidence that we have the worst Injury record in Prem history. That's an actual fact by the way
Bale's - DickVanDyke might do a better job of getting some of our players fit quicker
