Revised transfer priorities

I think canceling this stupid Amazon Doc and Levy stop being such a tight cant while raking in millions would solve 90% of our problems

Spurs still need a commanding CB and a real ball winner in midfield as a priority, our midfield is far to lightweight as it stands. Maybe left back could be upgraded as well.

I am happy with Aurier at right back.

Completely forgot about the Amazon documentary Mourinho will avoid being a cvnt until filming is over

Oh and absolutely Spurs need another striker, sooner rather than later. Kane won`t in my opinion be playing again this season. But at least given a good rest over the summer, should be raring to go next season.

Do you think it would beneficial for Spurs to miss out on Europa next season if they can't get 4th?

Or would that negatively impact who they club could bring in?

No not really mate. I want some kind of European football, and I really used to quite like the Europa League. I like evening games, so no European football, would not be good in my book.

Obviously CL looks difficult for next season, but Europa League is still very much possible.

I agree with you, i'm the type that would always prefer European football as well.

CL still not out the window with Chelsea choking, would take a serious run of form though.

Transfer priorities have not changed for the last 2
plus seasons, the emergence of Tanganga and arrival of Gedson makes no difference, maybe now Tanganga will be competing with Aurier ( expect Tanganga to win that decisively)

1. DM
2. RB
3. ST
4. CB
5. LB
6. Eriksen Replacement
7. GK
8. Lamela Replacement

Jose really rates aurier for his lopsided defence

Desperate: defensive midfielder, striker, right back, left back

Necessary: centre back, another defensive midfielder, another striker, new manager

Bonus: another centre back, attacking midfielder

Don't care if a DM or a ST is brought in first, they're both urgent.

so accurate

"Don't care if a DM or a ST is brought in first, they're both urgent." still leaves us with no full backs

posted on 22/1/20

Forgot goalkeeper

Fack it, just chuck all that out and stick "Entire team" in the "Urgent" section

My point is, it doesn't matter which is #1, #2, #3 priority etc. They're all facking urgent so they should all be prioritised equally

And so he should, he is currently our best right back, and arguably our best defender.

Right back is the least of Spurs problems at the back. CB and left back are much more pressing problems. Two ageing CBs and no decent left back makes those two positions very weak. Tanganga had a decent debut against Liverpool, but was well off the pace against Watford, and was a weak link. I think a lot of our supporters are getting a bit carried away with him. He may be a really good player in time, but as yet as a lot to learn.

Tanganga played LB against Watford which was ridiculous decision, he has never played there, so i dont blame him for that.

Aurier is not a defenders arris , hes ok pushed further up the pitch, but needs a lot of help physically and mentally

Things wrong with Sandy's post #17,489:

"Best right back" - more like ONLY right back

"Best defender" - LOLnope

"Right back is least of Spurs' problems" - nope again. Not QUITE as desperate as DM and CF, but that's not saying much. It's still BADLY deficient.

"Two ageing CBs and no decent left back makes those two positions very weak" - ...yeah, to be fair, this is true. But that doesn't mean RB isn't also a pile of garbage.

"Tanganga was a weak link vs Watford" - because he was making his, what, 3rd career league start, in a position he'd never played before. Maybe have a bit of perspective/give the kid a chance.
