its over .. let it go lads ..
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is over. Still waiting to hear why people are happy though...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
M8xed feel I be for many, and I voted leave.

Remember being surprised and chattng to weare on results morning, as very few leavers here.

Like it or not, 17.5 backed change, so we respect democracy, or reject it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't say anyone from NI would want to "respect" the outcome.

It will decimate our manufacturing and agri industries causing widespread disruption.

Thousands of people will lose their jobs and SMEs that are unable to absorb the extra costs of export declarations will go under.

Not a lot to cheer about.

One thing you can be sure of, anything that goes well in future will be claimed as a success of Brexit and anything that goes badly will be blamed on someone else.

Brexit has already gone from 'we'll be doing deals all over the world' to damage limitation and it hasn't even happened yet.

The public were conned and they're still being conned.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You still don't get it do you?

The public don't care.

The vote was 2 fingers to project fear and experts and lets have a bit of anarchy.

Shame Malcolm McLaren isn't here to see it.

I don't remember any of the leave campaign saying that before the vote.

Plenty admitted to it afterwards.

Sadly this is true.

Many people simply don't care they were duped, and are happy to suffer the consequences for feelings of sovereignty.

That's one reason of many.

One of the biggest cons was to convince people that the reason they're poor is because of immigration.

''YOU f*cking make it work. I have no intention of helping to clean up your toxic mess''.
-----------------------------------------------

The EU is also a toxic mess tbf.
It's an economic shiiitfest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it though?

Based on what? What you read in the Daily Fail?

Educate yourself.

I'm 51.
Been retired around 3yrs.
I follow independent financiers who have no axe to grind ie no bias.
I'm always ''educating myself''.

You appear to know little regarding the EU in all honesty, not the actions of the ECB let alone the problems at Deutshe Bank, so maybe you study the largest economy in the world instead (that would make sense). If so, your thoughts on Sept 17th 2019 regarding the 'Repo-Market', The Feds actions and the financial consequences for us all would be welcome bud.
There are far larger problems ahead for all of us that makes Brexit pretty much an irrelevance.

As i stated earlier, please can we all stop spitting dummies

I heard a few say it at the time but all hidden amongst the usual bravado.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fair enough - would be interested to see that, because I don't recall hearing it once!

Well I know it’s provided 70 years of peace, prosperity, citizenship, rights, freedoms and protections for Europe and her people, and we are throwing it away because a bunch of uneducated racists don’t like to hear a foreign accent down the doctors or on the bus.

Prove me wrong.

That's not true.

Over the last few years trade and customs specialists, border experts, professors of EU law, academia, MPs, peers, the media etc etc have all struggled to comprehend Brexit.

The public (regardless of how they've voted) have simply not been adequately informed in regard to the complexities regarding Brexit.

Wwspd.

I did say I had mixed feelings and all parties in NI were against bojo leave deal, but 44% here voted leave too And it was a UK vote ....not just this small corner which is about the population equivalent of greater Manchester.

Its a UK site too and as part of the UK, NI has to accept what the British people vote for too.

Like it or not, and I would not have been happy with a Corbyn govt, but we accept democracy.

We just have to move on and stop hating each other....not you and I now, btw.

And I am serious that in future, if people wish to get another ref to join the eu, that is an option....not an easy one.

Two thirds of Nissan workers in Sunderland voted leave putting their jobs at risk (which they were told would happen if the UK voted leave) they weren't conned they just didn't care.

Winston.

People were concerned about immigration numbers, and Tory austerity and the state of Labour party and globalization and the feeling Brussels was running the show etc etc.

In parts of England, immigration has created strains on services and commu ity cohesion and elsewhere, it has helped business and so it's a mixed bag.

It's not about hating foreigners.

Well,,a few might.

F*ck that. The bitter divisions will be even worse once the grim realities hit home, besides I can’t be reconciled with racists, fascists and their enablers. I just hope I live long enough to see the reckoning these people have coming.

Sorry but that claim does not hold any credibility - it simply isn't true.

This is Farage brainwashing.
