Giroud... no thanks. such a lazy solution to a serious problem. Need a younger powerful forward that's more mobile. Said ages ago we should have been looking like players like Haller. Even Rondon would make more sense than Giroud

Fingers crossed west ham go down and we can get haller in

Don't think you'll have to cross your fingers for Spam to go down. It's their time, they haven't soiled the Championship for a while now so well overdue.

Yip. I'm in Gallas boat. Great player and played well regardless of where he was. He really sured up what was a novice Micheal Dawson in ucl and put out some A1 performances at the ripe age of 34.

Chelsea are probably signing a proper striker whilst levy takes their rejects and expects us to pip them to top four

Not sure who Chelsea could get that's real quality on the last day of the window?

Agree. As a temp option who would fit into Mourinho's style of play he ticks most of the boxes.

Everyone saying that he could do well with pace either side is exactly what we thought at Arsenal for several years. Especially in the 2015-16 season, where he decided to go on a 15-game goal drought despite having plenty of pace, guile and inventiveness surrounding him, and despite Ozil getting 19 assists that year (should have been more). That was the season we hoped to win the league FYI.

He'll be better than your current options available right now, but that's not saying much.

He isn't a reliable player when the chips are down.

Missed a trick with Haaland. We should’ve threw the kitchen sink at that one. Dortmund got him for 23m or something ridiculous like that.

That’s because it’s where wanted to go with the release clause they wanted to have.

Alright Samir

Do you reckon you’d have won the league if you’d had Auba in 15/16 ?

Supposing we did get him, his form and potential would be enough to keep Kane out of the team when he came back, unless Jose played with both up front.

You need a complete side to win a league campaign. We haven't built a complete side in over 15 years. At times, I believe we've completely forgotten how to.

It's for this reason we've ended the season at least 10 points off the league leaders in each of the 15 seasons since we won it last.

Anyone who keeps saying that we've only been a couple of decent signings away from being competitive does not know what they're talking about.

palmers

It's difficult to say as after the Leicester game at The Emirates, where Welbeck scored that last-minute winner, we all thought we were going to kick on.

Logically speaking, I'd like to say 'yes'. But then we had a feeble mentality within the squad and had a reputation for not being able to handle the pressure/expectation that, at that point, we were favourites to win the league.

Hypothetically, would signing Aubameyang have given the squad more self-belief and confidence to win the title? Would we still have crumbled in similar fashion with a prolific striker in the squad? I guess we'll never know.

Having only Giroud for too long was why we struggle . Giroud was an excellent signing for Arsenal financially likewise on a sportive side.

But people can calm down.Ornstein said that Chelsea struggle to find a replacement for Giroud. If not extraordinary circumstacies happen he will be urged to stay at Chelsea.

Allthough I dont understand Lampard as it is obvious he doesnt rate Giroud and what he can bring to a team.

Lampard's press conference states that Chelsea's window is 95% done and there will be no move for Giroud today.
