Every season you can make out a case for why the winner won.

Last season we had Keita, Ox and Lallana out injured nearly all season and lost the league by a point.

If just one of these had been fit long enough then one of those draws would have been a win to give us the title by 2 points and we'd have been going for 2 in a row this season. This season its about Kompany, Laporte, new managers etc but none of this stuff is new to football. Its always been like this.

Its just a coping mechanism to help fans to cope with their rivals being successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure those 3 players make that much difference for you. Now, if it had been vvd, Allison and salah.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ole you've really love st your mojo recently. Ibviouspy youre gonna deny this but you're a discombobulated deluded boy at the minute and to be honest its hard to keep from laughing at you.

Look at the difference Ox alone has made this season. Lallana and Keita have also had massive contributions when fit.

Lallana scored the equaliser against United to keep our unbeaten run going. All three players are still having fitness issues but when fit you can't deny the difference they make.

We had a decent lead last season which City whittled down because we drew too many games in January and February. If even one of Lallana, Ox or Keita had been fit, we only needed to change one of those draws into a win and its over.

You need to accept that this fact absolutely trumps your silly argument, otherwise you just look bitter and deluded.

Every season the winners are "taking advantage" of something. No doubt people saying this are just jealous and bitter, you included but as I said there is no shame in it and its all part of the rivalry.

Ole and garry neville have only one thing in common. Both think they are bigger than they are.

neville seems to think he can take the day off when liverpool win the title having acting the big lad as city won it last year. Ole thinks he can act the big C.k here and then vanish on the day we lift the title.

The similarities end there however. I'm sure ole is not a face faced and equally i'm sure he's not a multi millionaire with the 90 odd caps and bag full of medals to back up his loud mouth.

"Its just a coping mechanism to help fans to cope with their rivals being successful."

I don't know how many times this can be said.

It is possible to discuss the things that have fallen in Liverpool's favour without it being some sort of bitter rant about how lucky Liverpool are.

Every successful team enjoys some good fortune.

How are people laughing at someone saying minimum expectation was for all 4 teams to qualify? It was.
Maximum expectation would be for all to top their group and win every game

I wouldn't have put my house on us getting through...

I said at the time, that our group would not be easy and it wasn't, so we did well to scrape through .
Same same with the Bayern games,we will find it very difficult, but here's hopeing !

My problem is that Lamps still doesn't know what his best 11 is...i've not seen BM of late so I have no idea how good they are currently...one would imagine pretty decent - as they always are

very true. but what i think bugs liverpool fans is that the opposing fans saying they were lucky to win a game because they missed a good chance when liverpool should have put the game to bed with 3 or 4 chances earlier.

Well, they can debate those points with the individuals who say it.

Shame that we don't have historical posts for when United were dominant - I wonder how many hypocrites there are on both sides of the fence!

That and the dsft statements like European and English football is at an all time low when in reality a couple of clubs have just swapped places.

This Liverpool team will go down as one of the best imo. But to say that the league is not at a particularly low point is ignorance. No longer is the pl able to sign who they want with sheer money like a few years ago. Clubs have pushed up prices so much top clubs are not buying and when they do is overpriced like maguire. Chelsea for example couldn’t get anyone this window due to teams not needing to sell.
The traditional top 4, 3 are at their worst in the pl era imo. Also teams like Newcastle, West Ham and others have had decent teams in the past but are now awful.
There’s no way teams of Sheffield utds quality and even wolves would be in a chance of top 4 if Utd Chelsea and Arsenal were strong.
It takes nothing away from Liverpool imo who are just that much better than everyone else atm

From what I've seen he does seem determined to take people's comments the wrong way in order to suit a narrative.

I stand to be corrected though, which is why I asked the [as yet unanswered] question.
