Controversial take but he's never been truly top class.

Yeah if you live in a parallel universe i can see how this may be the case.

No doubt his standards have dropped in the last couple of years. He's had some howlers and struggled with Spain as well if I'm not mistaken.
Having said that he is still regularly pulling off some great saves. Against Everton after his calamity involving Calvert lewin he pulled off 2 brilliant saves after that that kept us in the game and saved a point in the end.

Quiet down with this Henderson nonsense. There is no evidence he could do it at united. Being united keeper is a major challenge. Keeps de gea

FFS win their game in hand and Sheffield United are above you as they have been already

I would say playing for a team at the same level is pretty good evidence he could do it at United.

That’s because you don’t understand football.

I'm not going to take that from a grown man fanboying over Mason "The King " Greenwood.

You just save up for your next pack of panini stickers.

You know full well it's different. Sheff Utd are lauded for their 'fantastic' season whereas we've been criticised left, right and centre. That's the difference.

So are you saying no matter what you do for a club smaller than Manchester United you have provided no evidence you could possibly do it at United.

That as we all know is complete and utter nonsense. Why did United buy Cantona, Rooney, Ferdinand on the back of there performances in the PL for smaller clubs.

I mean Fergie must have thought that there was some evidence that if these guys could do it for their clubs they could do it for United or are you suggesting he bought them despite thinking there was no evidence the could do it at United? Are you calling your greatest manager a fool?

Not what I'm saying at all. All I'm saying is that it would be a pretty risky strategy to remove our best player from the last decade and replace him with someone who's only played around 25 PL games in his career.

posted on 4/3/20

My pet peeve with him has always been his lack of dominance in his box. I believe it affects our set piece defence and he has gone down a step (although he was great after the mistake last game)

The truth is Henderson deserves a chance. He has the attitude I love in a goalie. Absolute confidence in his ability, dominant in the box. Together with Romero, we would be more than comfortable.

Anyways if he stays, he is still a very good player for us.

Look I have no issue with henderson. sign him up to a long term deal and give him another 2 year loan to sheff utd and in a couple of seasons reassess the situation. Im not willing to give up on de gea just yet. lets face it as a keeper he could easily give us another decade if the form is there.

Honestly, is there a bigger AIDS poster than this HB bloke? No surprise he’s always camped on the PL boards given who he supports as well. And they’ve got an absolute failure for a manager too.

Look up "Quiet down with this Henderson nonsense. There is no evidence he could do it at united."

This is what we are debating, this is what you are backing up.

My only point is that is an utterly ridiculous statement.

This looks like a marginal call to me, not a black and white one. There are risks and rewards with either course of action.

DDG: has performed at world class levels; has suffered lapses in form and concentration, including 7 errors leading to goals this season (level top in the PL); has certain shortcomings in his game that don't lend themselves to a high press.

Henderson: talented young keeper with lots of self-belief; has performed better than DDG this season; hasn't proven himself at world class level or been tested in the cauldron of Old Trafford / international / CL football; is his distribution any better than DDG's?

I don't see that as clear-cut. The decision should be made based on a far more detailed analysis of their technical skills, for which I don't possess the data, nor the expertise to interpret it.

We don’t want to play a high press so that’s not as much of a concern right now. If we do want to move towards that, however, we’ve got problems with Maguire, DDG and the lack of width and positioning provided by the full backs.
