And let’s not forget how rubbish Mhyki was for us. If it was down to Jose he would have played better for Arsenal and Roma but he is what is is - the Armenian Kagawa
Jose destroyed his confidence. He’s recovering it now at Roma.

Also, there's something Donald Trumpish about Jose. Such a narcissist

Very much.
When a new signing comes to the Prem from abroad you don’t treat him like Jose did and expect him to play with any confidence.

'For me Jose Mourinho is an unbelievable people manager, someone who you want to travel eight hours by road to play on a Sunday after your son is born,' Alderweireld said this week.
'That’s the feeling you get, the feeling I have for him. You don’t want to disappoint him.'
It works both ways. Some players love Jose, some don’t. Was the same with LVG and I’m sure plenty of managers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that he does the divide and conquer thing. He always seems to try to alienate a couple of the players to prove who is boss.
Read what drogba or Lampard has to say about Mourinho
Or read what Sakho has to say about klopp
No one has anything bad to say about ole because he’s spineless hence why Pogba and agents like raiola can walk all over him.

Managers should know that you need to treat people differently to get the best out of them. Judging by these quotes Jose got it wrong with Mkhitaryan.
Could he have gotten it right with him
Why assume there was a scenario where Mkhitaryan succeeded?
Obviously not great from Mou, but let’s not pretend Miki was ever good enough. Decent squad player but never a first teamer.
Has ole not gotten his man management wrong with Pogba? Is that not why Pogba has no respect for him? Can I expect some articles about this at some point?
Six goals already, Rob. I’d call that recovering confidence after what Mourinho did to him.

Has Lukaku recovered his confidence after his confidence was destroyed by Ole? 😂
Sometimes players just aren’t fits for clubs or even leagues. Mhyki was a player I was excited about when we bought but apart from a few flashes (mainly that awesome Europa winking campaign where he was top scorer) I don’t think he was ever suited to the PL.
Much like kagawa who just looked way too weak for this league and SAF actually told him to hit the gym
*winning, not winking 😂
Could he have gotten it right with him

What do you see in the quotes which suggest that Jose got his man management right with Mkhitaryan?
Jose really is a massive beIlend isn't he. You don't hear too many good things from ex players since his inter days. Bet that Toby quote was taken before last weekend too!
Lukaku’s confidence was destroyed by United, for sure. Mourinho to begin with obviously.
Mourinho’s shiiiiiitty hoofball and terrible man management were clearly a big reason Mkhi failed. Only Rob and Wahl would deny that.

I think he was fine under Jose - what really facked him up was the Belgian fitness team making him bulk up at the World Cup at the cost of United the following season.

or in the PL in general.
Shame he looked the business at dortmund. but he was poor for us.

I that's the case why did he equally fail at arsenal that don't remotely play that style of football?

What evidence is there that there was a correct way to manage Mkhitaryan?

He scored a decent amount of goals in his first season then the World Cup was where he bulked up and never recovered
