See tbh, in the last few years i cant even think of any candidates that i would have picked.

Kinda liked Corbyn, but that opens another can of worms

the reason sporting event are going ahead is nothing to do with the virus it's to do with the availability of emergency services

there's little chance (scientists words not mine) that anyone will pick up or pass on the virus at the rugby tomorrow or the game on Sunday, you're just as likely to pick it up on trains buses etc

The reason (they say) they are stopping mass gatherings is because mass gatherings are required to be policed, they require to have emergency ambulance cover, they require the services of our voluntary health services for covid stuff

What i dont understand with this is..

All ive seen recently is, if youve got symptoms stay at home.

Im surprised weve not opened national screening centres, with strict guidelines for entry.

The uncertainty is the worry for me. There seems to be like no plan in place.

my wee one was the docs yesterday, she had a high temp, been given antibotics for bronchiolitis , temp was at 40° this morning.

I'm run down down and have a bit of a cough, plus I pulled a muscle in my back on Monday, so i'm basically just falling to bits.

There is a plan, stay at home and ride it out and it will eventually come settle and become easily manageable.

The issue is almost every country in the world has realised it needs drastic action apart from the UK, what do we know that everyone else doesn't?

Apart from the fact our PM is a flucking @rse ferret who liked the mayor in Jaws.

I would think the governments stance is taken only after expert advice.
Other countries may be going down another route which is fine as long as it also is based on what the experts are telling them.

Each country and region is at a different stage so that might justify the differential.

Clearly if you think you know better then you are still free to self isolate or go mingeling with crowds of people as you see fit.

I do find it hard to believe we are having 50'000 people in one place on Sunday and packed pubs around the country mind you.

Germany discussing postponing games until April. Looks like their games behind closed doors this weekend will go ahead, then shut down for 2 weeks.
