Sitting indoors for 6-8 weeks (4 months for older people) will kill more people than this virus anyway through pure boredom, exhaustion mentally and physically.
It's probably already sadly killed more people from suicide and anxiety/panic attacks from the scaremongering than the actual virus has killed
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you back up that claim?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well yeh there’s an average of 20 suicides a day in the UK so there’s been more deaths from suicide in the last 3 days than there has been from coronavirus since January
----------------------------------------------------------------------
and all these 20 deaths per day are because of the corona virus?
Sitting indoors everyday panicking and your body being dormant effectively for however long will do more long term damage to your body than the virus will
Who knows you can probably contribute some to it from the extra stress anxiety and panicking about this BS
Oscar I think you need to go back to bed mate.

Some perspective is seriously needed, not even 0.001% of our population haven’t even been diagnosed with this yet

I mean the way i see it is if you get it you get it and we should just get on with normal daily life, you can die any day any time any place any where and from anything, every year there is bad bugs and flu going around you only don't think about it or acknowledge it because it's not in your face like this new one every minute of every day. I think we should carry on as normal, it's p!ssed me off i have to work from home, i still went out for a curry last night.
You have a higher chance of a car losing control and smashing into you and killing you while you're walking on a pavement than dying from coronavirus, yet you're not avoiding walking on pavements are you?
When your tickets punched your tickets punched you can't run from the reaper. This whole situation is the dumbest thing i've ever experienced, swine flu we had 60k cases a week we didn't do this. 30k people in uk die every year from pneumonia so realistically a lot of these were going to get pneumonia some way or another and die anyway, corona might be a contributing factor in some but the reality is they're sadly going to die anyway. We don't report all 1400 deaths everyday from in general, why should we now be stunned by 20 deaths a day from a new virus?
The whole situation is just stupid and that's the harsh reality. All this sanitiser $hit as well, don't see anyone having done it as much as this in the last 40-50 years and everyone's been fine...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but this is a ridiculous comment.
I'm a healthy 25 year old, I know I'm not going to die from this, but I don't want my older relatives or those with health problems passing before their time because "when your tickets punched, your tickets punched". By that logic we shouldn't be looking into cures for cancer or aids or any other disease and mutation that kills millions of people.
Not to even mention the knock on effect to those being treated in hospital if the NHS gets overwhelmed, and they have to prioritise who to devote their time and attention to.
That’s not the point at all is it? If we just all got on with our lives and let it spread the NHS would be on it’s knees and we’d have to choose who lives and who dies

The levels of thickness and stupidity something like this brings out in people is highly amusing. God help us if we ever actually have to experience an actual serious situation at some point

Do you realise that the real perspective needed is to see that we’re at the tip of the iceberg and tough choices now mean less deaths in the future. Just sitting here and thinking it’s not so bad because current numbers aren’t huge is dangerous. Like thinking a tsunami isn’t coming because the sea is calm.

I think this has all been designed to crash the financial system and that's what it is doing. Create mass panic over something that wont even result in mass deaths. Everyone is in limbo with regards to their futures.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost missed this one. The virus has been designed to do that or the way in which it is being reported?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This virus is real but the panic that has been created, in the end, will be disproportionate to the number of casualties. Panic is causing everyone to meltdown causing everything to crash.

Boredom is a real killer.
This Oscar character is something special, all right.
The after effects of this with the inevitable recession etc is going to be the worst thing about all of this. For this to even hit 1% of our population requires an insane shift to go against every grain and aspect of the virus. We are not even at 0.001%. How can you justify a lockdown and extreme measures ? Don’t remember any of this with swine flu which actually had pretty insane numbers (60k cases a week for about a month/two at one point)
