I was suggesting who and what he represented to the Argentinian people - he was more of a political leader for that nation which I think added to his legendary status...as I said which overtook and overshadowed his footballing achievements

I agree, but for those people during the Falklands War, he stood up and spoke against England - he was a dirty, cheating, drug taking little loud mouth - but those he represented at club level and internationally at the time, he was a God

Compare the stats between the 2 players - that alone will tell you Maradona didn’t achieve anything near what Ronaldo has won - apart from the 86 World Cup where the dirty, cheating little shat cheated his way to a World Cup win, he didn’t really do too much else in comparison
