Well given his lifestyle, it shouldn't be boring.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s what I’m thinking.
ThE ReV, Have got to admit, that the second goal he scored against England, was a wonderful goal.
But yes, he is a fat little shat of a person.
Messi Messi Messssiiiiii !
i don't like messi or ronaldo but they're both better than maradona in my opinion. and i'm not joking either.

It was a great goal - but at least 5 England players should have absolutely sliced him in half before he got anywhere near Shilton’s goal
I would have gladly taken a red card if it meant I could have put him in hospital

Sky, XBox, PlayStation
Amazing what the power of advertising can do
How do you measure greatness? Who they are as a person, temperament, what the achieved as in honours, skill set, personality
Here’s my list for Maradona - scores out of 10
Personality = 1
Honours won = 5 (at best)
Skill set = 9
Temperament = 0
Honesty = -5
Longevity = 5
Outside of Football = -5
Going on those stats overall, apart from his skill set, nothing really that much to rave about in all honesty
John Barnes’ goal against Brazil a few years later was just as spectacular IMO

You forgot to mention his cooking ability, dress sense, taste in music and the fact it took him 3 goes to pass his driving test

hey, you can't pin that on me.
Longevity is a very important one. Maradona basically had about 7 or 8 years as a superstar.
As an all round person, Maradona will never be the best purely because his lifestyle, attitude and personality
How many years have Messi and Ronaldo had ? seems like we've been watching them forever !

At least 15 years - and countless trophies - they’re in a different league altogether

i agree but what if a player came along and scored 60 league goals in one year, won everything and then retired.

He’d be probably classed as the best for that season, but wouldn’t enter the realms of overall best - because I think that has to be seen as someone who done it on numerous levels over an extended period of time
👍🏼
Maradona was magical, able to transform the teams he played for. A huge personality. Unbelievable pure talent too. Playing on rubbish pitches and taking a kicking every game.
I don't think Messi could have done what Maradona did (leading Napoli to the scudetto and Argentina to the WC). But likewise Maradona would not score the amount of goals Messi has, even if playing today. Different players, and though my heart is with Maradona, I think Messi's continuous brilliance makes him the best.
Watching that documentary, it’s no wonder the likes of Best, Maradona, even Gazza went off the rails and so some extent self-destructed - there was just no protection whatsoever back in the day for the unique geniuses who were characters on and off the pitch
Champagne and coke, we’d all be characters mate.
Watched it sizzle.
Great player and show.
Love maradonna the best I’ve seen
