I regularly log in to read comments, but this site is a bit cliquey to say the least, so I seldom, if ever, make a contribution.

Am in sunny Ireland(well today is cloudless) where I live, and I know not many people like my comments; having Gaelic blood I tend to speak my mind too much.

Am present for this roll call Elsbels - What I was saying is that, it's like the 'unfinished season' gone by, seems to be a distant memory now, but hopefully we'll get promotion which is what we deserve.

As for this virus, we just have to adapt, and move on to whatever is facing us, it is the fear of the unknown that can be worrying. Sometimes it feels unreal what is happening, and it has been so sudden. Being philosophical about this might help, maybe this unfortunately is happening for a reason...maybe planet earth is fighting back for being abused by us. What I hope it will do, is make people take stock and think, stop the rat race, and greed, and relax, and have time and tolerance for other people, and talk to one another, instead of being constantly looking at our mobile phones or tablets, and show respect for one another. Another point is when you look at the sky, nature, birds, animals, it is business as usual, it ignores what is going - so if we can just appreciate nature, and hopefully this world in the future, if there is one, will be a much better place, but it will take time to recover from the mental and economic disaster forced upon us, but humans have recovered from hardships in the past, there is hope.

This panic buying sickens me.

In the end I had to nip out and buy up all the toilet rolls at my local supermarket before some idiot went out an panic bought them.

Hi, read every day but seldom comment. All good but down about £170 a week in overtime. Nothing compared to what some are having to endure. I will try and post every day from now as the forums understandably gone kind of quiet, I would miss it if it wasn't here. You lot sometimes brighten up my day.

Bored of sitting home really, but gaming a little, sitting in the sun outside in the garden.
Yesterday though, the strangest thing happened. I was sitting in front of the computer, when I thought I heard something from the kitchen.
I went in to have a look, but nope. Nothing.
But then, as I turned around to walk back into the living room, there it was again.
I put my ear close to the closest cupboard. Yes.. there was a sound there. I opened it up, and there. Right in front of me was a bottle of... of... vodka
Needless to say it turned out to be quite a good evening yesterday.

Here in the Algarve under 'State of Emergency'.

Closed our business last Sunday for an indefinite time.

Borders closed to incoming vehicles from Non Portuguese, only goods and service vehicles.

Flight passenger arrivals to be quarantined for 14 days at place of residence or holiday home..

Streets empty, only certain businesses open (supermarkets pharmacies etc), but are limiting numbers to enter at any one time.
Times to shop restricted to Emergency workers 8:30 - 10:00, over 65's 10:00 - 11: 30, all others 11:30 to 18:00. Checkouts with plastic safety screens.

Families limited to 2 people to leave home for excersise at any one time, but must not arrange to meet up with other people..

These are the measures that we are having to live with, but the whole community are all in agreement that these steps have had to be taken.

Checking in, currently well here in South Wales. Can’t get much in the way of milk and eggs, can’t get eggs at all. Panic buying everywhere in the country has decimated shelves, awful to see people fighting in supermarkets and people going to parks ignoring social distancing etc. Stay safe everyone, time to support vulnerable people and let’s hope we all get through this. im still kicking but have to say the coverage of this is 10 times worse than than brexit but just as muddled. I also see the EU has said everyman for himself and locked their borders when they were all supposed to be one big happy family and in it together. When this is over will there still be a EU

Shut down business, doing stuff behind teh scenes for when we restart as people will be more health conscious than ever and kids will be going up the wall.

Big issue is, we have no idea when we restart and no idea what the world will actually look like then.

I despair at seeing other tennis coaches argue that its still ok to play and justifying it by saying look at costa or look at the parks etc, just stay home for a couple of weeks and break the infection rate now.

I know when we start again not all my kids and adults will still be alive, it's heartbreaking.

My wife is a vet so she still has to go in and deal with public so she is putting herself and our family at risk every day.

Her mother is 86 in Berlin and still goes shopping, I think because this isn't something you can see like a bomb (she lived through the war) she goes out to shop for food and puts herself at risk, we just might not see each other again.

Sorry LDL but what do you expect them to do, "hey guys the scientific advice is to isolate as much as we can but, hey we're in the EU so instead we should continue to allow people to come and go as they please".

If anything this illustrates just how much of a myth the Brexiteers were spouting about countries not having control of their own borders was.

I would feel safer if we were part of the EU now, if only it was because we would be part of a larger organisation working collaboratively to identify a cure.

Log on everyday to see what might be going on and to share comments. As we progress down this nightmare path we could eventually be sharing any tips and advice on how to take the best steps to get through it.

We need draconian rules to be sorted out today in order to maximise our support for the NHS and UK public as a whole.
As for the idiots who flout the rules ....... I wouldn't be allowed to comment.
