He’s on cusp, Spurtle. But I don’t think he’s been in the top ten. His status gets massively overhyped because he was good in finals. Which ignores are the months and years he spent doing fack all in the premier league.

Very true. Wasn't at his best in the lesser games but raised his game for the biggies

From a goalscoring point of view he did. Only 2 seasons where he scored up 20 league goals. Henry, Aguero and Shearer all have had 5 or more.

Ask any central defender who came up against Drogba and they will probably tell you he was a nightmare. Such a beast of a striker!
Ugh.
Drogba was a late bloomer and had a short prime of exactly 4 seasons.
In two of those seasons he won the golden boot. The other two seasons were badly affected by injuries.
Despite all of that though, his big game record is second to none. not Thierry Henry, Not wayne rooney, not alan shearer. Not anyone.

Well it does 200 in 390 looks a lot more impressive.
The thing with drogba is, like bergkamp,zola and others, you can't judge him just off goals. he racked up lots of assists, played up front as a lone striker and bullied teams. I would not expect his goalscoring record to be as good as vardys, henrys and whoever else because it was not his sole role.
He may not be the best "striker" but certainly one of the best all round forwards.
Infact maybe only rooney and henry have a claim to being better as an all round forward.
also be interesting to see his goals per minute as in his early days a lot of those appearances were not starts.
Late to this but no way was Drogba overrated. The guy was an absolute beast. Maybe not as prolific as some but he had so much more to his game than a standard number 9 does. I bet if you asked defenders from his era who was the toughest opponent they faced, he'd be top of many of their lists.

You seem to have some weird hatred of Spurs on here. Bit odd being a Wolves fan. I’m a huge Drogba fan, but I would hardly say “zero doubt”. Drogba is a monster and a winner don’t get me wrong, but Harry Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet right now. You can argue a case for both, but I wouldn’t go as far to say “zero doubt” Drogba is better. Drogba is one of the best strikers ever in the Prem, but so is Harry Kane.
